The simple scenario is if we win Tuesday and Sheffield Wednesday don't we're up.

Sheffield Wednesday aren't playing on Tuesday. It's our game in hand.

Don't think Wednesday are playing Tuesday Mike

If we beat Barnsley, then we could go up Saturday whilst playing at home to Exeter

Quite speechless earlier when checking the result. Clean sheet & 3 goals @ Posh. Fantastic stuff by KMcK & Co, and great to read that Freddie bagged a beauty. 👍👏👏👏👏

I know the older lot sometimes bang on too much about the distance past, but its all got that early 80’s feel about it ——>> Ipswich Town just winning and being lethal. Different league I KNOW, but its just great seeing the big wins. Very impressed with the 3-0 away win. 👌👍

Bring on Baaaaaaaaaaaarnsley.

You really should watch Tuesday nights game on ifollow Marko, the quality of football the team are playing at the moment is unbelievable for this league. I’ve got a few of my mates who support Premier League clubs to watch us recently and they can’t believe how good we are. Anything short of promotion would be a travesty of justice.

Whilst I’ll take promotion wherever and whenever it happens I’d luv to see it happen next Saturday at Portman Road. That would be very special.

I’m SO pleased you got to see that win Andy 👍👍 :D
What did your brother in law think ?
He really enjoyed it. He’s waiting to find out about surgery for a tumour on a kidney so it’s been good to meet up and help take his mind off it.

I’ve been having my own battle with cancer for the past six months and it’s not much fun. I hope all goes well for him and he makes a full recovery. At least his Villa team are having a bit of a revival too that will definitely help keep his mind off his problem.

It’s far from guaranteed Lucy, you may have to go to Fleetwood the following week.

Exeter have away tickets still available - its not ideal but its what I've had to do.

I think even if we lose tuesday we could still confirm promption IF we win on Sat AND others lose, that's a longshot I guess though as Barnsley would be in the mix then.

I'm hearing some fans say "if we avoid defeat" then all we'll need is...bla..bla...bla...for the last 2 games....but I really hope McKenna is drilling into the team that our priority is to win this game. We're an attacking side who goes out to win games and we're in red-hot form brimming full of confidence.
Just need to put everything into getting 3 points at Barnsley. If we win..... can't see anything stopping us from getting promoted.

Looking at our run-in a month or two ago... we had Bolton, Derby, Wycombe, Posh as stick out tough games.... and we've beat them all. Maybe the toughest of the lot is on Tuesday. Personally, I didn't see us winning all those big games. We'd only beat Derby in the then top six and I didn't think we had it in us to beat all those teams. Just goes to show how much we've improved since January.

One big hurdle left.... and a couple of potential banana skins. One big performance needed. Don't want to go to the last game at Fleetwood needing a result.
Even if its not..... go into the game as a winner takes all situation. Win that game.... and it's 2 pts needed in 2 games. We're virtually up.

Don't think Town will sit back for a second in this game. I think they will go all out to win it. Get over the line as quick as possible then look to win the league as a bonus.
I'd be shocked if Town slip up now. They are in superb form and have everything to play for. Best team in this league by a mile and have been proving it for a few months now.
Can see Plymouth or Sheff Wed losing points before Town.
Having said that I really hope that Plymouth go up also as their achievement is enormous given budget and scale of clubs like Ipswich and Sheff Wed.

It would be good to see, but there are a couple reasons why I can't tune in....., the second, more sillier, and purely superstitious reason is that I am a jinx with ifollow. Seeing Ipswich "live" in L1 (for me) is rare. Bought ifollow maybe 7 times......., only 1 win. Not good.

Just managed to see extended highlights of the game.
Walton --->> fantastic.
The 2nd goal from the quick throw-in to the ball in the net ---- >> best move of the game, absolutely brilliant.
And Freddie with the Ally McCoist-esque goal --->> back to goal but 100% aware of his surroundings and where the goal was --- >> Sublime finish....., (whispers: but on as a sub v Baaaaarnsley)

Thanks boys 👍. At this moment I’m cancer free and in recovery but 8 weeks of daily radiotherapy plus chemotherapy has taken its toll and caused some unpleasant side effects but at least it saved my life. Consultants predict another 6 months in recovery so still some way to go but all in all a successful outcome compared what could have been. One of my absolute low points was waking up in hospital on the morning of 23 November and reading of ex Town striker David Johnson age 71 passing away with a similar cancer to the one I’d just been diagnosed with at exactly the same age.

I’m also very fortunate to live in Spain which is one of the leading countries in the world for treating this dreadful disease.

Best you stay away then Marko, that would make me superstitious too. I’ve only really got into ifollow this year because I’ve not been playing golf on a Saturday since September and therefore watch every game and have loved it.

It’s the fear factor isn’t it…. I’m dreading Tuesday night (as I was Saturday’s game )…

I don’t know what to expect from Barnsley . I just hope our players are big too leg weary ( they looked it 2nd half v Posh). I’m still not convinced the postponement has helped us …. We’ll see and my fingers are crossed and I’ll probably start praying from tomorrow! :D

I’m not sure we’d have been better going into this fixture minus Nathan Broadhead and Wes Burns, how would that be better than going H2H at full strength and in great form?
