Nor-way Norwood was scoring.

Re: League 1 - Barnsley vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
The ref last night did make a couple of mistakes and I suspect Ipswich benefitted but he made several brilliant advantage calls. Let play go on a few seconds, no advantage then back and take the free kick. Chaplins goal came after a very strong penalty shout. Advantage worked brilliantly. The same with Hirsts. He was fouled and a trigger happy ref would have given the free kick, this guy let it go on and allowed the physical combat flow. Both players giving as good as he got. Great goal by Hirst was the result.
Burnes penalty was harsh but definitely a foul as the Barnsley player went right across him and definitely blocked him.
The first 35-40 minutes was pretty even and then I commented that Ipswich were getting a grip.
The handball that was talked about was Davis as he controlled the ball with his chest before setting Hirsts goal up. Watch the replay. From a blue perspective defo no penalty, from a red ……

Yep spot on, and even more so in the highlighted part. Great refereeing.Johnjosh43 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 2:01 pmThe ref last night did make a couple of mistakes and I suspect Ipswich benefitted but he made several brilliant advantage calls. He was a decent Ref, he could well have issued Two yellows to Norwood and yet not a mention of that on the Barnsley forum.

Barnsley fans getting a bit of a pasting on our site. Personally I hope they win the play-offs. I still fondly remember walking away from Wembley in 2000 and when passing a Barnsley bus noticed that they were clapping us. Have a lot of time for their fans ever since

They should win the play off's, best team I've seen us play this year. Just looked a tad blunt in the final third.

Exeter haven't Sold their Allocation. What are the chances the Club will release Tickets for Home Fans?

Don't expect Exeter to put up much resistance when we face them. Not sure how big a rivalry they got with Plymouth but there must be some contest between them as to "Devon's biggest team or whatever"
They don't want no Plymouth bus parade or title thing on their doorstep so guess they'll allow us free range at Portman Road this weekend and we got nothing to worry about. Seems as good as a win for us, Exeter won't do Plymouth no favors you'd imagine. Maybe it depends just how strong any rivalry is between them but you have to be confident about the outcome and principles of our penultimate game against them.
