not looking like a very good season ahead mate, the FFP thing has scuppered us, 10 players out and 1 in, but you never know,

Can’t believe Wolves have sacked their manager John. It’s just ridiculous and especially the timing of it.

Think he walked, Hallam. Lack of funding so he quit. Could be wrong but thats what google is alluding to.

Re: Good Luck to the Town this season,
No the big girls blouse walked, there's not a big enough club in the world for his ego, its the second time he's walked at Wolves, the first was just before the season started 5/6 years ago. he hadn't even started, hallamblue wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 11:19 amCan’t believe Wolves have sacked their manager John. Glad he's gone to be honest, ( typical over hyped Spanish hot head) He was the sort of manager that had to spend multi millions to succeed, our situation with the ffp rules (Financial Fair Play rules) meant we had to offload a load of the high wage players before he could buy, strange how he got the hump and walked especially when it was him who spent most of 200m when he arrived,
I agree with these rules if every club abided by them, but some clubs are above these rules as you will find when the Town joins the plastic Premier soon,
All our troubles started when they sacked the legend Nuno Espírito Santo. and appointed that Bruno Lage,
At least we now seem to have a down to earth sounding manager,
PS, Great start to the season Lis, COYB

Sounds like you’re best rid of him tbh John ….
Any particular replacement you fancy to take up the reigns?

We have him all ready, Gary O'Neil, shame about his connection with the Carrots up the road but sure we can beat that out of him, hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 9:59 amSounds like you’re best rid of him tbh John ….

Good to have an English talking manager, and be even better if the owners sold up altogether and a British owner took over, even if we drop a league,
The Chinese government put restraints on sports investments abroad so all our plans went out of the window, plus the Premier League were never going to let us succeed,
Just waiting on Newcastle to get cheated by Sky,

Re: Good Luck to the Town this season,
I hate the bloody PL and Sky . It’s greed6 and corrupt in my view. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with the Saudis money starting to entice the top players….. it’s about time there was some competition for the game. Sky have had it their way far too long.
I’ll be honest and say I know very little about your new manager ….. I’ll have to go and Google him lol !

Re: Good Luck to the Town this season,
you wont have to look for to long, I think his management career is in months not years, lets hope he's another Kieran McKenna of United, what ever happened to him, hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 4:15 pmI hate the bloody PL and Sky . Re: Good Luck to the Town this season,
Just seen he used to play midfield . Had numerous clubs , but rarely staying at any of them for more than 2 years (roughly 1.5 seasons at a time if you’re lucky). Probably why id not heard of him. Blimey, fingers crossed re his managerial qualities then John ….

Re: Good Luck to the Town this season,
And the Town will be fighting all season to get into this corrupt plastic league, I wouldn't be sorry to get out of ithallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 8:41 pmJust seen he used to play midfield . The times they have done this to us, the classic was when we scored a last minute winning goal v LiVARpool FC at Anfield, just to be given offside, and excuse was the VAR camera in that corner just happened to be broke, It was proved he was on side, and its not just us wait and see,

Re: Good Luck to the Town this season,
You won’t have to worry soon as all the top money grabbing players will be in Saudi and the Premier League will become secondary.goldandblack wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2023 2:08 pmAnd the Town will be fighting all season to get into this corrupt plastic league, I wouldn't be sorry to get out of ithallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 8:41 pmJust seen he used to play midfield . I think the next couple of years will see big changes, the league is so corrupt it would be laughable if so many clubs future wasn't at stake,Charnwood wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 10:23 pmYou won’t have to worry soon as all the top money grabbing players will be in Saudi and the Premier League will become secondary.goldandblack wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2023 2:08 pmAnd the Town will be fighting all season to get into this corrupt plastic league, I wouldn't be sorry to get out of ithallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 8:41 pmJust seen he used to play midfield . be glad to get OUR game back,
Should think these officials will have a nice relaxed weekend, Cant see a loss of wages being a problem when they receive there expenses for the match

Big win for the Wolves Saturday John, I think things will finally catch up with Everton this season after loads of close shaves.

Re: Good Luck to the Town this season,
The Toffees can’t score goals (for toffees!) can they. Not sure if they’ve got injuries to key players but as you say, they’ve been courting relegation for about seasons now.
Great win for the Wolves though John
