We should try and buy Downs back, unsure how that might go but him and Morsy in midfield would be something
I think he is Southampton bound if they go up and said he would be happy to join them.

Downes achilles heel is his attitude. It sucks, and he certainly doesn’t have the personal attributes that Ashton / McKenna look for in a player. He wouldn’t “ fit” with this squad.

The mighty Leeds Utd fans have resembled a library for most of the game …..

Well done Southampton. Leeds obviously do not like playing at Wembley.

Yep, Leeds were never getting promoted......., from about 5 weeks to go in the Championship season until the Play-Offs, they were chucking it. Bottlers.

Shows you how sh!t Norwich are as well.

I’ve sussed Leeds, I think.

Their game plan is a fast out of the blocks, hit you quick and hard and try to grab a couple of goals. If you are organised and defend well against that initial onslaught, they appear to run out of steam and have no plan B. We definitely played into their hands for both games trying to attack them. To repeat that approach at Elland Rd was bizarre to say the least.

Norwich’s game plan from Christmas ( which hit them into the top 6) was to sit back and defend and hit in the break - exactly what Saints gif today. Saints just have better players to do it. I wish we had their CB’s!

Happy to see dirty Leeds sentenced to another season in the Champ. You see Farke, don’t question the VAR! Bad karma!

I think that’s 6 of 7 play off finals Leeds have now lost. I’m so please we dodged the Play Offs as Southampton really have finished the season the strongest of all the teams chasing promotion.

Assume that might spell issues for Leeds financially? Don’t they have alot of the players they had in the Prem out on loan? So they’ll need to try and shift them.

Maybe have to sell some of the stars - but they’ll probably get good money for Summerville.
I don’t see many players that might be worth town going after? I like Summerville but he’ll be 30m plus, and then I like Gray but suspect he’ll stay due to the family connections to Leeds.

I'm watching Fortuna they are terrible tonight, losing 0-3 so it's 3-3 with 10 minutes to go.

If they can sell Sumerville for 35m+ that will help alot, but they will still need to sell players and be careful financially in brigning anyone in.
They'll have a (*reduced) parachute payment still I believe, so that'll help a bit too.

It a buyers market though as a lot of PL clubs will have to offload players , and Leeds (Norwich are in the same boat btw ) may find it hard to get the valuation they've put on a players head. These better players at the clubs that haven't secured promotion will want to move on , and if their clubs are paying high wages, they'll want to off load. Buying clubs will now this and play hard ball , I suspect.

And with those big wages those players are on its going to be difficult to shift them I would think.

Its even more so a buyers market until end of June as that is the financial year end for clubs, and many are struggling to meet the financial rules. I expected there will be a fair bit of movement between mid June (transfer window openning) and end of June (end of finacial year for FFP).

I think we might surprise a few, as to who we are currently targeting and we may well swing it to capture one or two really good , young promising players looking to play regularly in the PL with us but not likely to get with their current bigger club employers .

May never get the chance again to post anything anywhere after a European Cup win and victory even if they sure appear thick and fast now but got to provide mention to the German opposition for providing a real battle and fight that for a time, could have gone either way. If they'd won it hell I'd be right in line to give them plaudits and recognition and in a way it's a shame they fell short by the end but after a certain time in life, you take what you can get.

A win's a win and to be champs of Europe is always a standout recognition but in truth it's getting tiresome by this point and for all and any support of the team you find at times hoping another name could claim it and have their parade. It's just like 1955 - 60 again but you can multiply it by 10 in today's measure by way of success and near constant victories in the competition. Bringing in Mbappe from Paris this summer can only make it twice as hard for opposition teams to claim a title, be like kind of Preston invincibles from the 19th Century but on a much grander scale.

A great many tried to enter the stadium without way of ticket and certain police intervention was necessary but think was the case for the Euro 2020 end game and doubtless further instances in recent time. It only tarnishes fans who get the time expense and trouble to actually find a purchase. Whores.
