Multi club ownership ….. and players playing for or across these clubs? Is that even possible? What a different approach that would be.

This is more common now, many examples…

Man City group have a network of clubs
Brighton have a club in Belgium they use it settle south American players in before bringing them to England.
Red bull group have a network of clubs.
Watford/Udinese was a link for a while.

Hibs send the talent to Barca and keep the milk bottle gingers at Easter Road.

I guess the most important part of all this is that there have been discussions about how to take the club on further and continue to grow it, rather than just... reach Premier League, tick, now sell sell sell.

I'd hate to think we would become a Brighton mark 2 Club.get in decent players..get mckenna to work his magic. And suddenly their stock rises and clubs make an offer and off they go ..rather than build a team for the future with a quality manager and take us in to top 6 territory if not 4...don't forget that the club is owned by pension fund company and other investors who are out to make money.not to invest to have a few trophys ..its reality ..the minute mckenna realise this .hes off ..

Its almost impossible to get to being a top 6 club, and doing it without a playing trading model would be extremely difficult. It doesn't matter how much money the owners have, you can only spend so much - take Newcasle as the example, they have to sell before buying, same for Aston villa despite the champions league qualification - both are treading a fine line with the financial rules.

To make it simple, alot of those clubs like Villa and Newcastle will be spending around £70m to100m+ annually on wages - if you get 100m TV money then that's very little left for transfers. Then you rely on sponsorship for added income, and to reach a high level of that you need a global reach which is the result of periods of long term success, i.e Liverpool, Man Utd etc to allow you to spend the HUGE sums the top 6 can (both transfers and wages)

If you can keep buying low and selling high, but bringing in higher quality each time - slowly increasing your league place etc then thats the best way to do it. Also having a big stadium with huge revenue helps, Arsenal for example are one of the most expensive clubs in europe, sell out every game, alot of revenue from matchday stuff but also big sponsorship deals.

You need to try and understand the mechanics of the finances in modern football to realise why its so difficult for a club to truly break into that top bracket. Ipswich are so far off that and it would take an incredible season after season of amazing management in all areas to get there.

I dont want to sound negative and the club is in the best hands, but we need to be realistic, lets walk before we can run.
