Must admit I thought Walton would have been on his way this summer as couldn’t see him wanting to remain as a number 2.
Having seen Muric so far he probably feels that he has a good chance of getting the number 1 spot back.

Really great news, Maybe one or two won't be impressed with Wes signing but i'm sure am. Also with Christian especially lets just say Aro Muric haven't made the best impressions on me so far

A little surprised by both of these new deals. Thought they might wait a bit to see how they do in the prem - as well as seeing how we do etc.

It does retain two of the longer serving players though which means something.

Anyone know why Wes has removed all his Town pics etc from his Instagram account ? Bit odd.

I knew Broadhead had done it but I fully expect him to move on soon, seems Burns has followed suit.

No idea but no doubt there will be quite a few people who are supposedly in the know who will tells us on social media.

Pure guess on my part, Mike, but I think he may have had a similar conversation with KM to that which Broadhead had (and which apparently pissed Broadhead off).

Maybe both of them have been told that they will not be regular starters and they don't like it. They have had very similar careers - both failed to make the grade as youngsters in the PL and spent time out on various loans in CL/L1 before finding their niche.

Of course, pure speculation on my part, but speculation that makes sense to me.

But he signed a new deal in September? Probably just sick of bloody social media etc.

It's good the original squad are being if you like, rewarded for their promotions, as they rightfully should in my view. But as we all know these contracts ard more an insurance on a players valuation should the time come to move on....

We could be paving the way for some exits (to allow better players cone in , in Jan or more likely in the summer)

I think Burns will have a bit of a fight to keep his first team shirt, and Walton just seems happy to be back up. Broadhead I'm thinking will leave in January window, and I'm half expecting some more ( better) additions in defence to the bench back ups we currently have. It's harsh I k ow, bur this club will not stand still in the squad development, of that I'm 100% certain.

Surely we can't possibly spend another 100 Million, not possible unless Davis and or Delap are going and that ain't happening

We will have to shift players out. I'm not sure how the financial rules work for newly promoted clubs. I seem to recall Ashton saying we we're at a disadvantage re our spending allowances, compared to established PL Clubs. Might have heard it wrong though.

We all know spending in January is usually not good practice in terms of risk....and cost! But you can bet yer bottom dollar we've already got our targets well and truly in our sights if we are going to do any business.

Can’t see us spending £100m and being within the financial rules.

I’d not be suprised to see Burns and Broadhead leave in Jan, but a replacement would be needed for Burns.

I don’t feel either are likely good enough for this level sadly.

Never really been impressed with Broadhead to be honest. I thought maybe he’d get a start against Spurs, but clearly he’s not in KM’s immediate plans.

Burns on the other hand is a player I think can do a job albeit not as a starter in the Prem. I still think Woolfy should be moved on either loan or permanent. He’s just not good enough for the Prem, is he?

If money’s available in January, we should probably add to defence. I keep reading rumours about another striker, but defence still needs to be addressed. If Phillips underperforms maybe that’s another area we need to strengthen, but I really like him when he plays well.

I still think Wes has a part to play, albeit from the bench.
