Although it was against league 1 opposition thought Townsend did well yesterday.
He did indeed Shed, it’s just hard to judge how good it was against such poor opposition but that wasn’t his choice.
Andy, as you mentioned hard to judge how good it was against a poor Bristol Rovers side. Was thinking when we play Liverpool at Anfield in a couple of weeks time and are 4-0 up we could bring him on for Davis with 15 minutes to go.

It sounds good to me. I wonder how many points we could have saved had we done that defending even a one goal lead so far.

Are they counting Al Hamz wild lash at goal which bounced off a defender straight to Clarke as an assist? So any sort of play whether it be unintentional or skill leading up to a goal is classed as "an assist".
 That's crazy.

I definitely think we’re missing a Premier League experienced head on the pitch especially to see games out. I know Matic’s name was mentioned and that’s now been and gone, but someone like him or similar would be a massive help especially with McKenna’s limited experience at this level. I know I’ve mentioned Jordon Hendersons name before simply because I know the guy quite well and follow his career, but he’s done an incredible job at Ajax where he was brought in to lead a talented young inexperienced team and it’s working well. When Ajax signed him they were struggling mid table and now sit 2nd behind PSV in a Champions League slot. I think a similar signing at town could have similar impact and move us to a comfortable mid table position.

Maybe I should move this to January transfers discussion.

No it was was me saying it lol, although without his contribution we wouldn't have scored it lol. Best of it was he got a lot of stick for scuffing it when in fact it was blocked by a defender, the penalty on the other hand lol

Yep, in his defence, if you slow down the footage, ( and I know it is clutching at straws to defend the guy) ...., but the shot off defender, for that half second was destined for the bottom corner. No doubt on target......., but......, yep  struggling to be more positive about his performance. Who knows......, The Hertz might buy him after Brechin City pump them at Glebe Park this Friday night.

Brechin could do much worse than Al-Hamadi, I've heard he's an expert at Topiary.
