It's about being treated equally by the officials.... which we clearly havent been in just about every game this season. The PL stinks

Yes but these people are supposed to be impartial. Act in accordance without bias or favoritism. Somehow think we're not being singled out for unfair treatment by any one referee association. It's easy to blame but we've found ourselves in the position we're at because the players this season just haven't been good enough to challenge the top level on a return back. A cautious, or negative if the word permits it, approach from the manager more often than not each time we got out has only compounded a situation.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 8:32 pmIt's about being treated equally by the officials.... which we clearly havent been in just about every game this season. We lost to an improving team in thick of top-tier European league position next season that just obtained a trophy for first time since hell knows when. Referee standards or not they're (NUFC) simply better equipped to achieve than ourselves right now. Can't argue it.

I dont disagree for one minute that we weren't good enough. It's clear as day this squad wasn't up to PL level. BUT this shouldn't prevent match officials from treating both teams in a match equally.
Man City away.... a penalty is awarded
Seconds later, a Town player is scythed down in MC' area, NOTHING!
Chaplin literally " taken out" in the Leicester penalty area, NOTHING.... not long after Phillips is sent off, and there was no contact.
Saturday, Johnson at fill pelt goes between 2 Newcastle players, minimal contact is made, but as Joe Hart eloquently explained, Johnson was taking evasive action to minimise injury from a perceived fill contact , and not taking a dive. Fine give a free kick. Why book? Moments later Murphy goes to ground as if polaxed , but was shown to be minimal contact. No booking there...
There have been so many incidents EVERY game this season where Town players are dealt with do much more harshly that their
" established " PL counter parts . It's happening every game so is hardly a blip or
" one of those things"....
All we want is equal treatment. No favours. No sympathy. No allowances. Just equal treatment and consistent officiating.
