very interesting article Liz, though it cuts short unless you are signed up.

interesting to see how we have amortised the transfer spending over multiple years.

Pretty much ever club pays transfers in installments now, Man Utd owe over 80m this summer for players they already have - ouch given how poor they've been!

It worries me a tad as we have clearly spent some of the parachute money already.

We are now due to recoup some of that outlay with sales of one or two primary targets for other clubs
Delap £30m
Omari £35m
Davis £10m?
Johnson £10m?

We got 90-100m for this season, we spent £140m I think. So some will be coming out of the next 2 years money (as accounts are done on a 3 year rolling period).

We get 50m this season, 40m next and 30m season after I think in PP. So there is technically a little money there, but maybe it'll get taken up by the increase in the wage bill (*which despite relgation clauses will still be hugely over the last championship squads and beyond any gross income outside of the PP money/

Be shocked if anyone spends that on any of those beyond Delap. Maybe Johnson at a push.

That's Omari's relegation release clause by all accounts.
The others seem a reasonable estimate given today's market values and they've dine a season the PL.
