Yeah cause mogga i'm sure would love to do it but i doubt it highly, - leave a highflying team to rescue ipswich. And sir bobby, i doubt very much we can afford his salary.Jonno wrote:Any manager that hasnt got a job or is in a lower league team, i think mogga or butcher would love it aswell, so would sir bobby, if u went to all the games u would share my views on royle out
it's not so much that I totally disagree with sacking royle it's just that it doesn't make logical sense. Going on past performances royle has been a great manager for ipswich town. (now if you realy, really disagree with me there i may as well give up)
I just think we have a crap team at the moment, you can't blame that on royle.
A new manager could put is in real trouble. Sacking royle in some sort of panic because we have a very slim chance of being relegated could cost us even more.
I believe it would be better to "wait and see" and then in the summer decide if we can afford to terminate his contract early and find a suitable replacement, and not in mid season.

I can't be arsed to read through everything but I'll just say this. However bad things get under Joe, they won't be any better under someone else. We've just got to accept that with the debt we have (cheers for that Sheepy) we are doomed to mid table failure at best for the next few seasons, possibly more. Bringing in a new boss (and paying off BFJ?) would just make a complicated situation much, much worse.

I do think it is time for a change for Ipswich. I am very grateful to Joe Royle for what he has done but he has taken us as far as he can in my opinion. I got very bored at the Wolves match where we consistently played long ball after long ball, despite have any height up front at all. Even when Parkin does play, its useless playing that method. Royle has to realise that we have no Kuqi in our team (other than perhaps Naylor, but then we lose out defensively if he plays a striker role).
The Ipswich game has become very boring and stale, and the most important factor is that every team has sussed ( ? ) us out and Royle has no plan B. He needs to realise we have to play to our (limited) strength, which is passing the ball. But as we all no, Royle wouldn't want us playing a good game of passing football. I for one would like to see someone with the tactical brain of Burley manage this football, to try to get us back to playing the football that Ipswich USED to be known and admired for.
