He`s not scoring many at the moment but he doe`s create a few..just hope this injury is not a smokescreen for an imminent sale.Dubai Blue wrote:Is there a chance that we missed McGoldrick last night?

Scoreline that surprised many and never envisaged the opposition would get three past us let alone pick up a victory. Mentioned on another forum that it's maybe a case of nerves getting to some of the players or the weight of expectation, but it's hardly the first time we've been challenging near the top of a league with reward in sight. Maybe we're not as best equipped to proceed like Derby or Middlesbrough in a return to the top division but whatever occurs from here, at least we have the contingency of the play-off zone. I can't see the club finishing outside the top six this year, and if they had offered that back in August, being truthful, we would have taken their f**king hands off. It still remains the best season hitherto seen at Portman Road since 2005 and we've got an opportunity ahead, that many other club sides in this division will miss out on.

i still maintain hes our creative , scoring midfielder.
.... but the problem wasn't our lack of scoring goals it was conceding them. Yes Blueblood is right in as much as there was no blame on the keeper, but surely we could have done better with at least two of the three goals by closing down on the scorer before he was allowed to get his shot in.

Disappointing, without doubt; terminal decline in progress? Don't be daft! Large dose of perspective required, and a bit more faith shown by those who see only doom and gloom. Over-analysis of why we were beaten on the night, becomes a self-licking lollipop, and won't change our performance or the result.
Get maximum benefit from the break, trust MM to objectively and honestly review individuals' and team performances - taking all factors into account - make tactical/personnel changes if he thinks they are required, get back on the training ground next week and crack on. Looking forward positively, not backwards negatively. Simples!
