Confused....and disappointed.

Post by jeremy rusher » Thu Mar 05, 2015 2:02 am

Just got back from Leeds and despite good possession (like at Norwich)....we can,t turn that into goals. Don,t really care what you lot think and your replies won,t bother me either...we are lacking quality . Chasing the ball and winning it is one thing but it is what we do with it that is more distressing. The midfield needs a play maker to feed our strikers with a quality ball to score.

When it comes to creating the few scoring chances we need to convert them. It makes me sick we can,t even feed a quality ball or a quality cross getting past the first defender. Then we leak goals far too easily. The game at Norwich and as last night at Leeds were there to win and after soaking up our pressure they both go on to beat us. We start with Varney and Woods up front at Leeds and ironically both were subbed. We then watch Murphy miss a clear cut chance from the penalty spot. Should he be taking penalties ?

It pisses me off even more we don,t have a chairman leading from the front and connecting with the fans who keep supporting this club home and away. Evans trying to gain success on the cheap and still insists on remaining anonymous. If Mings gets sold then we will be sure Evans has no real ambition for this club to go up as Tyrone is one of few quality players at this club. Now blast me with ya cheap budgie insults !!

Firstly, you did well to get back from Leeds by 1am.

Secondly, whilst I wasn't at the Leeds game, I did watch norwich, and a lot of other games recently. I FULLY AGREE with most of what you're saying. We're always playing the long ball, so many Norwich fans have asked whether that's normal for us, and I've had to say yes. A lot of the time we're trying to pick out Sears, what's he going to win in the air? our midfield isn't great, I get that - but long balls are NOT working.

Defence is partly to blame for hoof-ball maybe? They are for most of what we concede. Earlier in the season our defence was tight, now we're constantly leaking goals. Every game there seems to be errors.

I can't really see what has changed since before Christmas, it's largely the same team, just worse. In previous seasons we seem to start at the bottom and slowly progress to our finishing position of mid table. This season we're doing that in reverse. Some people will dress this season up as a success, for me THIS HURTS MORE.

I'm with you on Evans, although I'm not really bothered he stays anonymous, his recent investment in the club does! We're constantly fed bulls*** that he invests in other ways, like 'not selling Mings and Mcgoldrick'. Why can't we invest the traditional way like buying players, Derby do and surprisingly they're still near the top. If he's not investing in the team (and this really gets on my t***), why are our season tickets so high? We're shopping at Waitrose but getting Asda! Where is our money going? Yes the first half of the season has seemed a little promising, but truth is we're right back to facing another disappointing mid table finish.

I genuinely think this season will be damaging for the club if we don't finish top 6 (although I can't see us doing much in the playoffs). People are losing faith, I've been a a ST holder for over 10 years. It's getting harder to justify every year, especially when ME seems to be saying the same too.

Leeds - Lowestoft in 3hrs-ish? That is indeed good going. Hope you managed to avoid the points on the licence.

Very true about the quality of the balls into the box. Noticed this against Norwich City on Sunday; open play crosses and corners were absolute sh*t.

Having spent a few months commuting from Norwich to Leeds I know you can't leave Elland Road after the final whistle and be home and posting in Lowestoft in little over 3 hrs. I just assumed JR got bored and left at half time.

Probably did Charney. Its probably only 40mins from carrot hole to "Lewastof" and since Wigan were whippin the budgies asses he'd probably thought he'd hop off home With his tail firmly between his legs.

Na man, you'd have to go to the airport, book in, go through security, then it's a 12 hour flight, then fight your way through the smog, find a decent breakfast place with no Labrador on the menu........, aw wait, WAIT........, I see what you did......., China -----> back for kick off, lol!

Seriously though, hope you have the Chinese with HallamLiz pre game. COYB's

You stated in your opening post that you wouldn't care what anyone has to say, then reply with not one, but two different insults.

I don't know who you are directing it at, nor do I care. Refrain from doing it again.

Further to that, I've just deleted two further posts from this thread that contained nothing of relevance and just personal insults.

I would like to remind all members, that this is not tolerated on the forum. Besides being petty, it's just plain boring. If you would like to insult people further (including me if the want arises) do it via PM.

I don't wish to ask again. Thanks.

Just look at the rubbish written on here then. Mention anything after a sad result on here and get abused by a bunch of kids. Ollie was the only person who replied about the actual content.....and it was Ollie who said I was home by 1am ....despite posting it at 2am. Its just the same rubbish on here every time with idiots acting up on a keyboard. My last post was a moan after a long journey and defeat to Cardiff and all you get is a load of abuse. No opinions allowed unless its a load of dribble like catching a plane to China......No wonder no one bothers posting their opinion, good or not so good..

Ok, I'll indulge.

First of all the forum clock is an hour out. Daylight saving and all that jazz. So if it shows it was posted at 2am it was 1am in the real world.

There seems to be an ongoing theme that you may be a norwich fan, personally I couldn't care less. Certain members are always going to think that way and it will be very difficult to change that. It's the manner in which the discussion is heading. I actually thought you made some decent points, points that other fans have or would have made themselves.

You claim that nobody posts on here anymore due to opinions not being accepted whether good or bad. I would disagree personally. Try having a positive opinion on something and see where it leads.

As I said, if you're an Ipswich or norwich fan, I couldn't care less. But personal abuse will not be tolerated. By anyone.

Most replies were nothing about the game or previous games. Same usual barrage of crap and you warning me to post fluffy nice comments what a great result it was. If fans pay their money and travel then expect to get adverse comments......but to get a load of childish abuse then you should start a forum for retards who want to talk about anything but football or this club or a poor performance.

To be perfectly honest, I can't see anything wrong with JR's post. His comments echo many said by others on here in the past.

I don't know about the travel time, but you can certainly cover a lot of ground driving at that time of night.

Less of the abuse though JR, it doesn't do your cause any good.

Im not asking you to post fluffy anything. If it's been crap say so. If it's been good, then embrace. Historically you haven't partook in the later which is why you've attracted this stigma of being a budgie. Point still stands, I don't care who supports what.

The personal abuse is not warranted.

For the record, barmy is speaking my thoughts. It would be sensible to take notice.

You only decided to post your warning after I retaliated to the crap and abuse.....Now you are suspecting its an ongoing theme....I have not posted for months........and I,m not a Norwich troll either.....just read the post......does that look like a Norwich fan being pissed off ?.........Grow up ffs..............

Surely, enough's enough! Would suggest that there's sod all to be gained from prolonging these exchanges. If it's a case of having the last word, what's the point if it leads to a ban? The forum needs as wide a spectrum of contributors and views as possible. Take you at your word JR. - inside the tent pissing out, not outside pissing in?

OOOPS! Too late! :astroll:
