What a great evening, I am so very proud of the boys tonight, they turned in an excellent performance and deserved the points. We got the dream started I hoped for but couldnt hold onto it, Sears did so well to outmuscle the defender before tucking away a great strike, he really is on fire. Once again we get caught out at the back with a quite simple move for the dirty bloody sheepshaggers to equalise.
What an absoulte screamer form Skusey to put us back in front, it must have been all of 30 yards and it smashed in off the post like an exocet missile, as some have said already, our goal of the season surely ??? To reach half time ahead was pleasing and I felt deserved, Cardiff did cause us one or two scary moments especially the clear miss by Fabio or whatever the dirty little sods name is but for the most part I thought we did well.
For me I thought we played some good stuff in the 2nd half and Murphy was close to making it Three with a header which the keeper tipped away. Quite how fabio stayed on the pitch is beyond after hacking down Mings he then seemed to shove him in the face but somehow escaped with a yellow. To be fair the ref was a bloody joke all night and ensured we played against 12 men for most of the match. Tommy Smith, who had a much better game tonight had a header brilliantly saved by Marshall and from the rebound berra hit the bar. It was still pretty edgy at the back on occasions though as we were pushing for a third. Finally it came courtesy of our goal machine Daryl Murphy who notched his 24th of the season following more good work from Skuse.
It was a well deserved win and no I don't believe Tony Cottee is correct with his comments, I thought we up for it from the off, we played at a far greater tempo than previous games, we chased and closed down every ball and every player gave 100%, while Cardiff missed a couple of chances we had by far the better ones. The fans were awesome tonight and PR was electric, deafening at times to be fair. A great night was made even better by Wolves & Brentford slipping up and now it really is in our own hands. We had some very good individual performances, Skuse, Sears, Smith, Berra, Mings can all be very pleased, but in truth it was a very solid team effort and there was not loads of the dreaded hoofball. Three games to go and then hopefully another Three. Keep the faith we aint done yet.

^ Excellent stuff ^
I think it was just unfortunate that every time Jules went to PR, Cardiff were having a few chances and that's why It sounded a bit desperate at times.

Great performance from the lads tonight.
Can't fault any of them but thought Skuse was superb and what a strike that was. I'm sure if we had played like that against Blackpool we would have done a job on them like Derby did tonight. Still work to be done and no doubt there will still be a few twists and turns to come from now until the final whistle on 2nd May but it is nice to have our destiny back in our own hands which is all you can ask for at this point in the season.
Just win the next 6 games and we are back in the big time. Simples!!!

That was one win of paramount importance. Made even better by other promotion chasers having a setback also.
Pleased to see Murphy back among the scorers and Sears is proving a very good acquisition.
Thought for a time we had blown our chances a few weeks back but with three games remaining we have a very good chance to finally be involved once again in the play-off opportunity after 10 years away.
Well done to all involved

Great night at PR, great resilient team performance, great use/timing of subs by MM. Sh*t ref!
Enjoy, and then refocus for Wolves. Most of all, keep believing!
Priceless comment from MM: "I told him (Sears) when he walked through the door: if you don't run about, you don't play". Sort of says it all.

I love reading MM quotes. Don't know about any of you lot, but I read them out loud in a Yorkshire accent.
