If Bishop is worth. £9M, I'm cancelling my Sky TV contract and kicking football into touch. It's getting beyond a f**king joke now. I'll watch Bill Oddie's Tit watch on BBC2.

Hibernian FC fans pass "tit watch" in early September. We are currently on "unbelievable useless c*ck end watch".

I was sorry you had a defeat to Falkirk in the Scots cup semi-finals, we had the same scenario in 1997 when that opposition caused an upset and went on to reach the final. (Subsequent 0 - 1 loss to Kilmarnock)marko69 wrote:Hibernian FC fans pass "tit watch" in early September. We are currently on "unbelievable useless c*ck end watch".
Celtic were also beaten in the other semi-final this year with a surprise setback to Inverness so we got two of the lesser clubs through to the main event (as in 1997) but guess these things will happen.
We can't have it all own way all of the time.

When you say, "can't have it all our way"....., I assume you mean Celtic?
Hibs haven't won the Scottish Cup since 1902, as you will probably know.
Great pub quiz question; How many different teams have won the Scottish Cup since the last time Hibernian won it. The answer is: Fking loads of them including Third Lanark.

If wickham went for 9 and Didsy was quoted near 9 then no reason Bish shouldn't go for if. Much more potential than any player to be here in the last 10 years.

It's the general idea nowadays that ludicrous amounts of cash are now being "set" as a starting price. £9M for Bishop is absolutely fking insane. Yes, no doubt a rich club will snap him up to warm their bench, but point is, it's crazy because he's largely untested.
Town done very well with Wickham because he's been proved as mediocre, (at best) and McGoldrick...... Well he blows hot and cold every other game, so if he's worth £9M, then it's out of control insane. I think Leicester quickly found out that DM wasn't worth it, unlike Sunderland with CW.
Fair play to ITFC though if they reel in £9M for Bishop....... It is after all how the game has become.

Have to say that if we manage to raise 18m for Bish & Mings (which will mean we have failed to be promoted) then that money might build a pretty fine Championship side.

Very true Dubai......, but the very fine championship side will then get poached again. Where does it end? £18M would be great, but Town already have the decent championship side with Mings & Bishop part of it.
Really REALLY hoping that ITFC can make the top flight this season. If it means rock bottom next season, doesn't matter,....... Just the "pulling power" of the EPL would be good for ITFC at this moment in time. Need in on that ludicrous cashpot, which is getting bigger & bigger.
