BB, I have re-read this thread again and I am none the wiser and still quite confused.

Can you explain to me in simple terms what your grievance actually is?
In simple terms it is a point of principle. Charnwood accused me if saying 'I do know what I am talking about' which I questioned as it is an expression I don't recall ever using. Even if I felt it I would not use those words. I recalled reading that expression and decided to go back a vew weeks and still look through my old posts. I very quickly found the post that think Charnwood may be referring to, but it was said by Rossi, to which my response was 'modest as well'.

Having told Charnwood this I would have expected him to direct me to the post he referred to or offer a simple apology. Nothing has been forthcoming. I was brought to always be prepared to say sorry if proved wrong and would hope that others adopt the same principle.

If Charnwood can direct me to the post in question and I did say what I am accused of, I will of course offer him my humblest apologies. Finally, let me assure you that I have not tampered with any posts. Your system log I would imagine could confirm this and I would not know how to do it anyway.

Enjoy the rugby this evening. No doubt England will once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Firstly Bully Billy let me explain cos clearly you're not going to let this go until I do.

Almost a week ago I posted on this thread that as far as I was concerned it was time to draw a line under the thread and move on. Unfortunately you were unable to do the same and have continued to prod and poke until such time that you get a retaliation.

Well following your rather rude PM here's the response you're so desperately looking for:

If you look at your post to which your comments refer, you will see that your use of Rossi's quote was not embedded in such a way that it was clear to others who read it, I'm not sure why you chose to present it this way, maybe it was just your poor computer skills, but if you can't make yourself clear don't be surprised if others misread what you write. Had you embedded Rossi's quote within your own post there would have been no room for error or misunderstanding and you would have been entitled to receive my apology. But, given your provocative behaviour towards me in my opinion an apology is not appropriate.

In my 11000 + posts on TB.com you'll struggle to find any posts that match your insults or aggression and if there was any justification for your judgement of my character I'm sure I'd have heard one or more of these descriptions directed towards me during my 64yrs + on the planet to date, however this hasn't been the case.

It was my intention and probably better judgement to continue to ignore you however I've noticed that every time I've been on here this evening updating the Prediction League Thread you're sitting on here "waiting", I assume for my response to your rather aggressive PM.

For those to whom this makes no sense, see below Bully Billy's PM which he sent to me earlier this evening;

I am not surprised that you choose not to reply to my requests for you to substantiate your accusation of my saying 'I know what I am talking about', because I did not say it. It is pretty clear that you consider apologizing for your gaffe beneath yourself in case it would mean losing face in front if others.

You are unable accept criticism from others which goes to prove what a gutless, disingenuous and arrogant person you are. In future I suggest refrain from accusing someone of something you are unable to qualify.

Hopefully I've now explained how the quote misunderstanding arose, and furthermore that you can see how you contributed to the misunderstanding yourself.

I have no intention in replying to any further abuse from you so don't expect to receive any.

Further abusive PM's will also be ignored.

I guess this won't be the first time in your life you've sent abusive messages to other posters on this or other Forums as I suspect this sort of aggressive behaviour is rooted in your unpleasant personality.

I hope this response satisfy's your lust for a reply.

FOR FK SAKE! Jaysus H, no wonder this place is going quiet.

Owners......, for the sake of the forum, delete the entire Bristol City thread.

Wish I'd kept my trap shut about the Man Utd game.

I do hope that the Mods will allow me my final response for the sake of fair play if nothing else.
I assure you I will be brief.

So, it was my inept IT skills and not Charnwoods reading ability.

I censored my PM before sending it as I had a sneaking suspicion it would be published. I am not a bully, but I will stand my ground if I think I am right. Charnwood must have had a sheltered life if he cannot cope with such comments.

All he needed to say was: sorry for my error I misread the quote as you hadn't displayed it correctly. Instead of which I get his final diatribe.

Honestly, the lengths one has to go to and still NOT get an apology.

There you go folks, my FINAL say, but I welcome any comments/abuse or even support. I will not be offended.
