Would be a bonus, but for Aaron i think its about time. Best left back in England for the last 3 years.

Fantastic, good on him.

Boy, where would be now if we had hung on to some other players over the years?

Rhodes
Mings
McCauley
Delaney
Walters
Wickham
not so sure on Murphy, may have been time to move on

probably others I have forgotten

I'd be deleting Delaney from your list there, Frosty. Yes, he is playing at Palace, Premier League etc......., but before anyone else comments; do you watch Match of the Day? Delaney has many "Tommy Smith" moments; when the danger increases, he's flapping about wondering where the ball is.

I remember being very peed off when Gareth MacAuley left. Very capable, big, strong, old school defender.

Well done AC - overdue and so well deserved! Also, good call from Gareth Southgate in calling him up - hope he gets the job permanently.

Believe there will be a top up fee due if he makes an appearance - if all add ons are triggered final fee will be around £7M. Probably the best thing Paul Jewell did during his time here!

Edit: NO top up due to us! ME distraught

But would they have been better players if they had have stayed? Just wonder how good we are at improving players from the coaching side. Some players have natural talent and that will take them on to another level. With Cresswell I remember Mick graciously saying that he didn't have much to do with Cressy's development (gave credit to PJ). Last season I think Cresswell under-performed from previous years and it was time for him to go.

We've had a lot of free-transfer thirty something journeymen come our way over the last few years. Mick likes them as they do what they say on the tin - but they aren't going to take us forward.

Look forward to seeing players like Bishop, Dozzell, Lawrence given a chance .. and actually see them develop. Webster could be the next one to go and I think he had his coaching/player development at Pompey.

Well done, Cressy.

Well he now has his first cap albeit from coming off the bench but well done all the same.

Slightly disappointed to learn that Town don't benefit from this.
