 Well I hope Mick was there last night and also Blue mike, going from the report this was a class football match with Bishop dominating the play, hat tricks for Monty Pat and Samuel's, :o Monty looks a lot like Jordan Rhodes in the TWTD report pics, quite a few went last night and were treated to how Ipswich should be playing, smooth touch passing, and goals galore, this will give Mick a headache with this type of performance, good to see Smith back and very comfortable match performance,

Why do you hope I was there ? I wasn't actually. You have a knack of volunteering others for everything, I was at Saturdays game and saw how we should play, maybe you should have gone to that one or volunteer yourself for some of these other things you are so passionate about.

Ooooooo who's got his knickers in a twist  just saying as a friend of mine went last night as he was bored and thought he'd take in the under 23's against Watford, and he said it was awesome, and really entertaining, and really glad he made the effort, after some of the sh*t performances the 1st team have turned out lately, and I just hoped Mick Mac was there watching, and wondered if you popped along, after all prior to Saturdays match which I agree was very good thanks to Tom Lawrence, I know you have been somewhat pissed off with what you've been watching along with 15'000 others, by your reports on here, so no malice given out BM hope none taken.

Nothing twisted here at all, just wondered why it was me you called out that's all. I am pleased your mate enjoyed it and made the effort, hopefully a few more will make the effort in the weeks ahead.

Saurday's success was not all down to Tom lawrence by any means, yes he took all the plaudits and accolades and rightly so but for me Emyr Huwes, Toumani Diagouraga, David McGoldrick & Josh Emmanuel all had cracking games too.

I have been very disappointed with some of the recent performances, that said I felt we played very well in the first half at Preston, did ok in the First half at Huddersfield, played quite well at home to Blackburn and Bristol City and really should have won at QPR, all those in the last Seven league games so I do think people like to focus on the debacle of Lincoln and the thrashing by Derby which quite rightly were both unacceptable but watching every game as I do I see positives too as opposed to just reading it or hearing about it second hand.

:D yep I'm with you BM on the better performances at last coming through, although somewhat erratic stop start performances, and I do think that we just might have turned the corner with the new signings, we will see against Villa on Saturday, I think that if we can get the team playing better, string a few good results together, it will rub off through the squad, and we will start to climb the table and away from trouble,

Unfortunately MM will have had a couple weeks to ruin the new signings by then, so I wouldn't bet the bank on a great performance.

Villa's current form is pretty dismal, but its really their terrible away form that is sticking out. As they're at home, not sure what to expect from that game.

Just hope that MM doesn't over-think this one and just continues what the team had from the last game.

If we now have some spark from new recruits - then go with the flow. He's got a tendency to try and over influence things his way and imprint his Mick McCarthy stamp on his team. Time to let the players have their heads.

Villa haven't lost at home in the league this season although they have drawn 7 of them.

Therefore, to come away with a win would be a great result but a point would still be a good return. As you say hopefully he will give the new recruits a chance to continue to express themselves and not just go there and try and hold out for as long as possible.
