Tell me when did the rules of winning a football match change?
I always thought it was the team that scored the most goals but having read some of the comments on a Brentford forum this morning it now appears to be based on the number of shots you have and percentage of possession.
Perhaps now you get extra points for artistic impression as well?

As I have said before Shed, there is only one stat that counts and we are the best at that at the moment, along with cardiff of course. Total shots mean jack sh*t in the grand scheme of things, if we want to go on stats we were better than Brentford at putting the ball in the net, better at blocking shots, better at winning defensive headers, better at keeping clean sheets, etc etc I could list dozens, tin pot fans getting above themselves, it's a bloody shame they didnt make more noise yesterday, hardly knew they were there, "Is this a Library" "we forgot that you were here"

What really made me laugh Mike, there was one of their fans actually said our keeper made some saves as well.
Well what the feck was Bart supposed to do then, just step aside and let the ball go in? Mind you he did try and give that impression in the 2nd half with that flap when trying to punch the ball clear!

I think that some are becoming worried and concerned at what is happening at the moment . Two clubs way down the League of big spenders now leading the charge in the Championship. I suppose what matters is winning not how you win. Yesterday Cardiff went to Wolves with a game plan which worked. Their Manager bleated that Cardiff went there to stop their stars playing and were too aggressive and the Ref should have protected his players. Perhaps he thinks the Ref should have worn an amber shirt. Stats show the number of fouls was 13 to each, Shots on goal was 17-12 to Cardiff, corners 4-2 to Cardiff. Possession 64-36 to Wolves. Now having the ball and tapping it around the pitch is all very well but its what you achieve with that possession is what matters. Lets hope both our clubs can keep up with the success we are having that is until we both meet.
