Think we both agree that he's a Wiley old fox, great at putting up smoke screens - then bang, look what I've done! Great stuff: more please.

This is odd, when you google him the wiki bit on the search results page states he plays for Ipswich, yet when you click into that wiki page it's still his Danish club.
I hope this comes off, he sounds promising. I looked him up on Football manager 2015 and he doesnt look too bad. I know it;s a game, but they do have very extensive scouting. Seems he can play many positions and is fairly good going forward, if not amazing defensively. His attributes seem solid across the spectrum, rather than excelling in one area.

Happy with this one, 22 years old and Danish international to boot to. Certainly a position we needed to bolster before the season starts, 2 more signings and we're looking good.

A defensive goal machine sounds exciting

Maybe our very own Leighton Baines.

You never know with our recent history of making a considerable profit with the sales of our left backs we might be able to get 25 million for him next summer.

If a fee is involved, how much have we paid for him?

No idea, have seen a figure of 500,000 Euros being mentioned by some people but think this is just pure speculation.

Don't totally understand this one - if accurate. I guess he would provide experience/cover; but having released Anderson (younger etc), who in extremist could cover RB, not sure what he will add to the mix? But MM knows best!

I'd heard Anderson declined the contract that was offered and we didn't increase terms so that's why he's gone. M cuff may be a cheaper cover option at his age he has weaker bargaining power I suspect.

This sounds about right: according to the EADT, we have activated Knudsen's buy-out clause in the region of £250k - £350k...

We should if the contract was written favourably....
Didn't he sign a new long term contract in January.

Yes he did - for four and a half years.

Ah so! Anderson last heard of training with Scunthorpe - or somewhere similar?

I like the sound of Knudsen...he even scores a few goals. And his international experience is a big plus. The Danes have always been very organized and disciplined, especially defensively.

If the 350K for Knudsen is correct it could well prove to be another absolute steal, he sounds versatile and scores goals, by all accounts he is known for his massive throw ins too which can be a potent weapon at times.
I really don't see the point in this Jobi McAnuff guy though, to me that would be a tad disappointing, Dallas looks to be on his way to Leeds so that is a bit of a no story.
PBB, the rumours regarding Scott Allen have been circulating for some time now so maybe there is no smoke without fire.
I don't know if it is right or not but I have read somewhere that we are not due anything from Wickham's proposed move to Palace.

I agree Mike, If Wickham goes for £9 Million, we should get 200-250k if he goes for £8 Million we get nothing, I cant remember if the sell on clause was 20% or 25% but its only on profit not the whole sum!(that's if my ageing mind remembers properly)

Town have confirmed the signing of Danish international left-back Jonas Knudsen from Esbjerg fB on a three-year deal with the Blues having an option for a further season.
The fee is officially undisclosed but is understood to be €500,000 (£350,000) with the 22-year-old’s Esbjerg contract believed to have had a buy-out clause set at that level.
Knudsen is set to make his first appearance in a Town shirt when FC Utrecht are at Portman Road for the final friendly of pre-season on Saturday afternoon.
TWTD understands that members of the Town management, including assistant boss Terry Connor, travelled to Denmark to watch Knudsen in action during the first few weeks of the Danish season.
Knudsen joined Esbjerg aged 10 from a local village club Hjerting and in March 2010 he made his first team debut against Randers aged 17 and became the youngest player in the club's history.
He quickly established himself as a left-back and despite his youth has already played 153 senior games (including appearances in the Europa League in 2013/14 and 2014/15), scoring six goals. He was part of the side which won the 2013 DBU Cup (Danish FA Cup).
Having impressed throughout 2013/14, when he was his club's Player of the Year, he broke into the Danish national team and has won two caps.
Described as a physically strong player and a hard worker who enjoys a battle, he is also known for his long throws.
Knudsen, who was previously linked with the likes of French side Marseille and Dutch giants PSV, recently played at the European U21 Championships in the Czech Republic and has also won caps at U18, U19 and U20 levels.
Knudsen has been handed the number three shirt vacated by fellow left-back Tyrone Mings when he joined AFC Bournemouth for £8 million last month.
Welcome to ITFC Jonas Knudsen.

The fact that the no.3 shirt was saved for him indicates that this one has been worked on for some time. Nice one MM
Wickham deal is 6m rising to 9m isn't it? So nothing for us until...... maybe ........ maybe never.

Well this is a complete surprise of a signing, an unknown Danish player. Be interesting if he becomes our first choice left-back or Parr.
Welcome to ITFC Knudsen

Sounds like a great signing, a young player with a ton of first team experience AND he's an international, for a decent team. All for £350k.
Sign Mings for 10k, sell Cressy for £4m, play Mings for a season then sell for £8m, sign this guy for £350k. One of many reasons why I fully trust McCarthy to lead this club.

Also has a long throw-in on him comparing himself to Rory Delap could prove a vital weapon

I wonder if the intention is to play Knudsen LB, Parr RB, and Chambo into the centre.
