The Ref was very very poor today. McGoldrick dive should of been penalty.

An excellent result crafted from an outstanding team effort, where every individual put in a real shift to beat one of the in-form teams. Although M'boro rallied immediately after the break, in truth their threat was handled fairly comfortably by our defence, with additional cover provided by the midfield boys tracking back and closing down relentlessly. MM's hard-work comes as standard mantra was the foundation of today's win.

As pleasing was the balance between effective defending and the increasing attacking flair and decent football now being played - built of course on confidence throughout. Really good to watch, and hopefully attract even greater support.

Pity that the ref was so poor - hopefully any assessor present will act accordingly.

So many players played well today.

For me it was a real team performance and showed just how far we have come. At this moment in time even when a player is out injured the one coming in to replace him seems to put in a top notch performance (as in the case of Parr today).

Would also like to mention Skuse, yes he takes a lot of stick at times but today he really did his job well. Tabby was superb and as for the Bish well at times he was running the game from midfield.

Really feel it was one of our best results and performances of the season today and we really did look like the real deal.

Just my opinion Marko mate,it was a game before kickoff were most might have settled for at point. In the end it was a comfortable resounding win, with its roots in hard work and disciplin throughout. Delighted with the performance and the points.

I'm pretty sure McGoldrick did dive, I don't think it was a penalty at all...

We just very comfortably beat a promotion contender without allowing them an inch to be a threat. Awesome result and performance from everybody involved and bring on Brentford on friday!

I do apologise PBB, I was just being a complete c*ck. (No change there)...... Your phone or iPad must've put "bananer" down instead of "banana". Damn that auto correct.

Lucy...... McGoldricks "dive" should've been a penalty? How's that?

Just watched the highlights on the Football League Show and wow, that looked a very impressive performance which could so easily have been a win by a wider margin and screwed my 2-0 prediction.

I thought Teddy Bishop looked a class act as did Murphy & Tabb albeit only short highlights, that said it was nice to see Town picked as the feature match and not a few seconds coverage at the end of the programme,

As for the penalty decision, I though McGoldrick was fouled and to be booked looked very strange, certainly more of those are given than turned down as there was definitely contact from a hanging leg.

After that I can't wait for my next live game.

Why wasn't McCarthy a candidate for Sports Personality of the Year ? Not to get too ahead of ourselves but the progress just keeps going and with each passing week the possibility of a return to the EPL becomes more reality than fantasy, and the manager has to take the share of the accolades. I would have been content with a play-off position at this stage of the season, but to find ourselves in the automatic promotion places, it's a dream scenario.

We've taken on a number of the big hitters this league can offer thus far and have got results and played well and some argue that we have indeed the best team in the league despite being in second position. The game with Brentfords coming up soon is another game of great importance but you got to believe we can beat anyone this division can provide. Add to that, Derby County in a short time, and while the Carrow Road whores did us a small favor today - that's all I will allow them - we're currently taking on (and getting results) against some quality sides, so we can continue, and look ahead with confidence.

Read the match report on TWTD and 21,000 is a healthy attendance but you could argue it's a little disappointing that for a game of this nature I.E. given the positions of the clubs involved, the expectations and occasion etc, that a few more in attendance may have been expected ? Other than that, it's another fine result and (futher) progress taken.

Shed has summed it up perfectly, so many players had good games yesterday, it was a fantastic all round team performance and one of our best displays of the season when you take into account the opposition and how they had been flying, we brushed them aside with relative ease.

Tabb, Bishop & Murphy all involved in both goals, we have so many players on top of their games right now that it is frightening. As has been mentioned to see a Town team playing with swagger and style has been a long time coming and it is a joy to watch. Tabby is on fire right now and so deserved his goal and OMG what a header it was. rising above Two towering defenders to plant it home, superb. The question was raised earlier in the week by someone regarding Cole Skuse, well I think his first half showing answers it perfectly, he was top notch, much of it will go unnoticed but he mopped up so much loose ball, he nullified anything old Leadboots could throw at us which in truth was bugger all as usual, when we lose Skuse 2nd half it was clear we lost a bit of a presence in the middle of the park.

What a about the performance of Teddy Bishop ??? He has all the nous of a veteran and controls the Midfield, for one so young it is amazing how composed he is, he always seems to have so much time on the ball and the way he dribbles past opponents is as good if not better than Williams, this lad is gonna be worth a shed load of money if he isnt already.

So at Xmas we are in the automatic promotion places, we have now lost the least amount of games in the Championship and apart from Middlesbrough we have conceded the least goals, we have the best Striker in the division who has now hit the net 14 times and we have been beaten only once in 18 games, the crowds are flocking back and the belief is there again, 7 points ahead of our neighbours again is the icing on the cake. We have nothing to fear in this division and if we carry on playing like we are we could win this league for sure. I think we do the right thing in just taking one game at a time and when the inevitable defeat does come I know this team will not panic and will bounce back no problem. Reasons to be cheerful.....You Bet.

I don't want to appear negative Mike but as our Mick said on the FL Show last night, the real test will come when a few players lose a bit of form or the team lose the momentum which they have at the moment and more important how they deal with it.

I think the run of fixtures that some feared that eg. Middlesbrough, Brentford, Charlton & Derby in quick succession couldn't have come at a better time and the players confidence will be sky high. What could prove to be a harder challenge will be keeping that same hunger and desire in the following run of fixtures against bottom teams Millwall, Brighton, Wigan & Rotherham who will all be scrapping for points in the relegation zone.

However we deal with our January fixtures at the end of this month we will for sure have a better indication of what the future hold for us this season, and whatever the outcome I can't recall the last time it felt this good being a Town supporter.

We've not been top of the Championshp Table since August 2007, maybe we won't have to wait too long before this record comes to an end.
