Vital 3 points won tonight but play like we did in our next 2 games and we'll be in trouble.

Well it is a win and Three points plus a clean sheet are welcome but quite how we managed it I am at a loss to explain. A dreadful game between two poor sides on the night but quite how Bolton were not at least a couple up at the interval I don't know. Yes Sears had the first real chance of the match but failed to convert a one on one and fired straight at the keeper but the two misses by Bolton were equally as shocking. We did have a couple of half chances but again we werent really troubling their keeper that much.

Hard to understand why parr was taken off second half, not an injury I hope but the second 45 was much along the lines of thei first in terms of quality although it was Town who had the better chances. Twice Skuse came close first with a dipping shot on to the top of the net and then moments later he hit the post and rebound was shot straight into the keepers arms, not sure who by. The introduction of Kevin Bru certainly made a big difference but I thought Skuse was excellent tonight and by far the best player on the pitch, certainly from those in a Blue shirt anyway. I must also say that for me Tommy Smith was the best defender tonight even if it was still iffy at times he was improved on recent efforts.

Playing like that we will get stuffed at Watford, no doubt about it but with any luck the win will give the players some confidence which is clearly lacking at present, we just seem so afraid to express ourselves in any way although I felt the Midfield did ok tonight with most of our chances coming from Skuse, Tabb and Bru, the goal was a strange effort and seemed to take ages to go in after bouncing between players and past the keeper but they all count. Clearly Brentfords result stopped us getting back in the top six and that is a blow for sure but with Derby, Bournemouth and Norwich all dropping points there are still plenty of twists and turns to come.

Nice win boys, well done!!!!

Now wouldn't it be great if we turned Watford over the weekend, that would put the cat amongst the canaries lol.

Safe to say it wasn't the greatest of games, it wasn't the greatest of performances, but - three points above all else and that's a hugely important win in the situation we find ourselves. An unlikely scorer in Tabb but we owe the kid so much because of it.

Doesn't bear thinking about if we had lost this game today but regarding the league situation other promotion rivals had mixed results and we still find ourselves very much involved in the play-off picture. I realize we aren't going up automatically but still have every opportunity by way of a top six finish. Watford at Vicarage Road will be tough for sure and they're not a favorite opposition but we have the capabilities when we want, to give any team a game.

McCarthy said after : "I was anxious and apprehensive watching the game"

Doesn't exactly inspire confidence some would argue as you'd perhaps want a manager a little more optimistic and confident of our abilities out there. In any event, three points of essential importance.

f*ck me, that was a stupid thing to do. :(

Anything other than a win will in my opinion mean our season is as good as over.

A win will keep us "hanging on in there"

A worthwhile bet which paid out £105 on Ipswich, Watford, Wolves & Bristol City all to win. But guess which result was the closest to letting me down.

Who cares it was a win and three important points, although I'd have felt a lot more inspired if I was reading about a great Town performance. but hey ho, a wins a win.

Dear oh Lor.

Just got home!

About 50 miles of diversions, A14, M1, A50 and to top it all off at least 3/4 of the journey in thick fog.

Bloody good job the boys won, that's all I can say!

I note last night's results suddenly put 4th spot back into striking distance.

Funny old division this year. Anything can and is happening on a match by match basis.

Everything is still to play for.
