I can't see that at all Mike. We're 5 points behind Derby (effectively 6 with gd) - I don't think we've any chance of overtaking them at all.bluemike wrote:It's actually not a bad result for us really.

Definitely a good result last night seeing as we have wolves still to play as well. The more places up for grabs the better.
I have no idea how we'll get on today especially with a few injuries.
Let's hope Troy Deany forgets his right foot.

Feeling upbeat for a chance before a match. Maybe just maybe Mick will get them geed up and introduce some real pace on the wings. If its the same old same old i cant see anything but a narrow defeat. Heart 1-2 head 2-0

REALLY hoping, for Mike's sake, that ITFC can pull off a shock win at VR today. Because the Loonies ain't gonna have a walk in the "Glebe" Park today in the 'Gus derby.

Re: Watford FC vs Ipswich Town Match Preview
It looks increasingly likely Middlesbrough will fall at Bournemouth today in the early game involving the two of the other top three teams of the division so Watford will for sure be motivated by news from there. (Bournemouth have a 2 goal lead with twenty minutes left to play)
Guess that makes todays endeavor that little bit harder but still quietly confident we can take something away. McCarthy will doubtless be aware of the situation and go about todays objective as he sees fit.
Edit - Bournemouth now have a 3 goal lead, so this one is done
Damn useful team aren't they. Should be a welcome addition to the EPL in August.

Millwall 2 up.
Handy score line for us if we can get anything out of today.

Looking at the line up, should anyone really give a monkeys nutsac about the Brentford result..... Going to get as* rammed today. I feel the despair more for Millwall today in their quest for survival.

Be prepared to feel worse very soon!
Just go eat some pies, Lucy. Best remedy for it. Follow the "yellow mustard road" to Eltons hot dog stand.

Murphy booked, don't pick up a suspension....
40 minutes in and still no score. Not bad considering the expected savagery that some had envisaged.
We actually appear to have more possession if anything. The score from Brentford was a kick in the teeth but at least they dropped two points against an opposition many would have seen as a home victory before time.
Seems a few fouls out there today and we're not even at the interval. Keep it without score until '45 and we will have done well to shut out this opposition. Come on, let's get something from this f**king game.
Creating some decent chanches here

I'm impressed. So far we are pretty much on top. Varney in particular looking sharp and all over the pitch. Mings having a good one too.
Keep it up for the second half boys.......

Re: Watford FC vs Ipswich Town Match Preview
Playing really well.
Grown into the game. 2 yellow cards that were barely fouls, but at least it's 1 each.
Varney looks really sharp and Skuse is owning midfield, just need to sort our deliveries out a bit from Bru and Mings.
Wood should get subbed for Sears, but 0-0 and we were the better side imo.

HT 0-0
Whatever they are doing Mick, keep them doing it. But maybe get one on the break.

Wouldn't sub Wood myself. He's doing a great job and is drawing in an extra defender to cover him and the knock ons. It will work eventually. Just have faith
