COYB!

What's up with Derby? Tom Ince, Darren Bent........ Dare I say it that they are not building a team over there but looking for the quick fix.

Perfect example that throwing Money at the team doesn't get results.

Looks like we are missing Murphy today. No chance to win balls in the air up front. We are having enough of the ball to turn this around but we need an outlet for the more direct approach IMO.

Brighton are very very quick and they are closing us down very quickly denying us any build up play. They are also targeting the very young right side of our team in AMN and Emmanual . Smith as Chambers are two slow CB'S and are getting caught every time.

2-0 HT can't see us coming back from this tbh. We just haven't got of out the locks at all from the very first whistle.

Need to bring the new polish lad at right back and get Mcgoldrick on for maitland- niles. We have been awful, don't think we have strung any decent passes together. On a positive we can only get better. :(

What a great game for the spectator. Very open, loads of excellent passing play. After their 3rd we went a little too direct for my liking but still a great game.

Shame about the result but both of these sides looked quality today. Malarczyk maybe a little off the pace but still okay. Nothing to be depressed about today (except the result  ).

This game was lost in the 1st half. To be fair Brighton deserved the victory and could of scored a lot more. We were cut to pieces on far to many occasions unfortunately. New Polish lad looks ok, Douglas and Skuse were awful. Mcgoldrick makes Town a far better Team.

Not a great start to the game going 2 down inside first quarter of an hour but we have had a good beginning to the season, get the lads all back fit and start getting to grips with the new additions then we can get rolling. There is always the bit of payback when we go to Brighton, give them a belated Christmas present :-).

Yep we are fed up at the result but had to come sometime, all important is the response to that, couple of seasons ago we would of been filled with dread at another run of bad results, now, we can give the next team a good hiding!

The mistake was having two 17yr olds on the right side facing two very quick and large experienced players. They ripped AMN and Emmanual apart , and Chambers isnt quick enough to cover. Result, two easy goals , with opponents in ACHES of space.

Derick is spot on with his comments, we were cut apart time and time again. The first half performance was dreadful, we never got going and losing Two early goals made it so difficult. Our midfield was anonymous first half and the wide players weren't in it.

Much better second half and we actually did well to make a game of it given how poor we were, I felt if we had not conceded the third so soon after we equalised we may have nicked it but in truth Brighton deserved it today.

We did learn a couple of things though, firstly we do miss Berra and secondly young Emmanuel has much to learn as he was exposed for the opening goal, admittedly by a very good player. The polish guy did ok but looked slow at times, I suppose he needs time to settle. Its been a good opening month and no need to panic, the break comes at a good time. We were unfortunate for their second goal as it wasnt even a foul, AMN got the ball but thats the way it goes.

That was ill-advised..

Ok the opposition came today and took home all points on offer. Decent entertainment for the neutrals, but thought ahead of time they would cause problems and be an awkward team to overcome and so it proved.

First loss of the new season, fell away from first place, but still in a very good position to challenge and can only hope todays setback is quickly rectified and back to winning ways next time out. Easy to include the extra-time endeavors at Doncaster midweek but can't really use that an excuse. Seems the match report from TWTD indicates that Brighton were good enough value for their victory and guess they'll be challenging for the highest places also by end of season.

Sometimes you just have to put your hands up and say you were beaten by the better team on the day and frankly if we had gotten anything out of this game it would have been an injustice.

Really Brighton should have put the game to bed by half-time. Defensively we seemed all at sea alot of the time and as already been said we really seemed to miss Berra today. Also, for me Chambers did not look comfortable in the middle at the back, it was almost as because he has not played in that position for a while he was finding it difficult to readjust. The midfield also struggled.

For me Sears was again our best player and put a real shift in. A bad day at the office but if you had offered me 10 points out of our first 5 games before the season started I would have taken it.

At least MM won't get the manager of the month curse now!
