Lmao, I think we've all got to remember there is still a game to be won, and we owe Exeter respect, celebrating before the win is secured is a dangerous game, lining the streets pre game and planning pitch invasions doesn't sit well with me tbh, after all these things tend to happen instinctively, not pre planned.
Totally agree. When Ashton came onto the coach after the game the other night to thank us that was one of the things that he was emphasising, it’s not done yet. I’m sure KM will be doing the same with the players.
Hmmm, ok, 3-0 Ipswich. 4 is ludicrous!

Know what you mean though Mike about things shouldn’t be pre-planned…….. hence the joke in 2016……. What goes beep beep beep? The Sevco Rangers open top bus reversing back into the garage.
You’re right…… anything can happen.

Let's hope the management and players show the right attitude towards this game, as they have in recent big games Bolton, Derby. Peterborough and Barnsley. What I'm reading with so called fans lining the streets and planning pitch invasions is ridiculous. Exeter still have to be beaten. Nothing is guaranteed yet, people need to calm down.

100% agree. KM has consistently stated he's just keeping players focused on the next game. Exeter won't rollover but if we keep it tight, pass and move like we have in the last 10 games or so, we will be too strong for them.

I will be there and can't feckin' wait............

The telling thing for me about our current run is that if you ask 25 fans to write down the starting 11 you'd get the same players and formation on each piece of paper...(yes even on the Ladapo or Hirst to start question)

Consistency. Which to be fair was one of Rossi's bugbears a few months ago.

To be fair to Rossi, consistency was my biggest bugbear, all that chopping and changing of Five or Six players every game was ridiculous, lo and behold we stop doing it and stop dropping points, it's no coincidence.

Yes, but to be fair to all other Ipswich fans, Rossi wanted KMCK out and Paul Warne in, so err, ..... Absolutely zero "to be fair" earned whatsoever.

I fear a pitch invasion for all the reasons stated above. I also fear a town/area near the ground full of idiots without tickets trying to gain entry (think Wembley Euro final). I hope not and think the turnstiles are probably too narrow for it but you never know. All this from 'fans' who have not been to a match for years no doubt. Also, imagine a pitch invasion followed by the players leaving the pitch and then the tunnel area being cleared for awards etc - whats that gonna look like from the SBR? It would spoil it for the thousands who go week in, week out. The idiots won't care though and invade anyway. I know I sound (and am) a grumpy old man but makes me sick to think of all of the games we have been to and struggled to get 10k fans but all of a sudden, the glory hunters want to spoil the atmosphere... just saying...
The Turnstiles might be too Narrow but then you'll have the Doors they open to let People out after Games. Here's hoping nothing too serious happens.

Have Faith 🤣 but then I'm worried too. I can us falling behind to Exeter because we will be nervous. But wouldn't it be fitting if Chaplin was to get Winning Goal.

Yep agree. KMck was not good enough the style of football was good enough, the defence was sh*t, strikers were crap. But, at the end of the season when he is coming back. I'm sure he will say he was "WRONG".......Not. 🤣

To be fair I think KM's more consistent approach to the starting 11 was due to the players performing consistently, in addition to the reinforcements brought in in January. Whatever the reasons, KM has found a winning formula and the reward should come to fruition on Saturday.

I saw on Instagram the Club put out a statement against pitch invasions.

I am a little confused, I thought pitch invasions were leftovers from the 80s when hooligans would run onto the pitch during games and threaten players? There is no difference between that and celebrating after the game? It happens over here a lot.

People who have watched that fearful "pitch invasion" at Wrexham have come away with their hearts a shade bit warmer, because it is easy to see what is going on and no ill intent involved.

In an ideal world, i agree……. Pitch “invasions” should be a big fun garhering. Sadly there will be a few that are out to take it that little bit too far. Some may go ok, (wrexham maybe did) ….. but even 0.5% going wrong is too much.

And for the sake of fellow fans with kids and elderly people and disabled people in wheelchairs, , just keep it all safe & stay in the stands.

Fair enough. Lets just get the win first and worry about celebrating later!

We'll win, we'll in all truth get a promotion tomorrow. It's as good as done, by Monday we'll be of Championship status. There's little to zero chance of the opposition preventing it. One final time they'll encourage us to win by not wanting Plymouth to finish first place.

I don't like involvement on game threads here, try to avoid it if necessary but given the importance of the occasion and what's at stake, may be forced to participate at some stage or another. Hell just made to edit a whole load of opinion there. Never used to be so tentative and shrinking back from what should or can be mentioned.

You know what f*ck it. We're going to be promoted in a few hours. This is supposed to be a celebration. It's been hell of a season and on the verge of something special. It's all about the team, why allow other factors and elements to spoil it.

Did you ask him if he'd be assisting the stewards if they win tomorrow. Morsy would be worth 30 of those guys!

FWIW I don't disagree, I'd rather there isn't an invasion if they win, but I just hope fans can still enjoy the experience even if there is, rather than being angry and sour about it all.

I can’t see anything other than a convincing win for us against an Exeter side with nothing to play for. Whilst Towns current form is nothing short of incredible Exeter have taken just 1 point from their last six games and sit rock bottom of the current form table with Forest Green Rovers and Shrewsbury Town who host Sheffield Wednesday today.

For me it’s a 3-0 win to Town followed by Party Time 🥳

I can’t say I’m bothered one way or another about a pitch Invasion, we did it in the 60’s when we won the League Title and I guess every other time we’ve won a title. It should be harmless enough but the only downside is it stops the players and their families doing their traditional parade around the pitch which would be nice too. Whatever it is as long as we win and nobody gets hurt everyone should go home happy. 🏌️‍♂️
