I think we’ll miss Kalvin Phillips today but clearly McKenna thinks we can win this replacing a defensive midfielder with attacking midfielderJens Cajuste.

A very good game so far but we really need a goal before HT.

Being outplayed last few minutes and should be Two down as Archer smacks one off the post. Not looking good now

I can’t believe we’re one down in fact almost two down after dominating play for so much of the game. I’m hoping to see a replay of how we conceded possession in the build up to their goal as one minute we were going forward and the next it’s in the back of the bloody net.

I don’t like the last stat I just heard. “We’ve not scored a second half goal so far this season. Well that needs to change.
Unbelievable isn’t it given all the late goals we scored over the last two seasons.

Re: Premier League - Southampton FC vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
But we've only scored 2 first half goals
it's fine, the season is young and we've only really had 2 games where goals and points were possible.
Pretty important to get a draw out of this one, especially as we're the better team... at least that is a good sign, you get in trouble over the course of a season, not one game.

The problem is the longer it goes without us scoring the stronger they get and the more desperate we get. Szmodics had another decent half chance which he needs to start hitting the target with.

Need to get Hutchinson off before he is sent off, judging by Radio Suffolk commentary.
....and now watch him score lol

I wouldn't have taken Szmodics off though, take one of the other two off and move him central. I'll be banging my head against a brick wall for some time I feel.
Also surprised of Taylor over Luongo, I know Taylor considered more attacking, but I prefer Luongo going forward myself.

He’s getting in great positions Liz but making wrong decisions when he has the ball.
What McKenna knows is that he has the potential to win the match.

Saints players gave thrown themselves down at the merest suggestion of contact from a Town player, all bloody afternoon.
