Still think we'll get something from this game. Especially after Mike's pep-talk just now.

I don't recall their keeper making a save all game

Do you think we struggle to turn up against some of the, dare I say it, lesser sides Mike? I'm thinking Everton, W. HAM?

Yep I do, I think we've been awful second half, no energy, no drive, no creativity, no chances, no hope.

Yep we were poor in the 2nd half. Still don't think it was penalty though. And why oh why does he keep playing Jack Clarke? He does absolutely f*ck all. 🙅‍♂️😡

The good thing is at Portman Road I think we are very capable of 6 points against Palace and Bournemouth next week and should we achieve it the table will look a whole lot better.

Something else that went for us today was the results of those around us with nobody winning and couple of them getting tonked. I'm starting to see Leicester as good value for the drop and along with Southampton that's possibly Two places already taken.

We got what e deserved today, unfortunately. We need to forget that now and pick ourselves up for the next one. It's going to be a long season! My nerves are shot.

It was definitely a penalty.

Agreed on what we deserved, yet it's so frustrating just missing out time and again, a single goal/moment. I guess it beats getting dismantled every week, but it really makes you feel like things just aren't going to click and get going. Tuesday night obviously a big game, that solitary win against Tottenham is already starting to feel an age ago!

There was barely any contact, but it was there. I don't know how much you need for it to be a foul, but it seems these days, even a little tickle counts.

I just don’t see where we’re gonna get enough points to survive. Bournemouth were brilliant today. Wolves are at least scoring goals. Palace are improving. I just don’t think we have a strong enough squad or depth to survive at the moment. We’ll need reinforcements in January, but I’m not sure that’ll be enough.

Our golden opportunity came when Connor was about to pull the trigger and Delap took it off his foot and then clumsily lost it when two Forest defenders immediately shut him down, Connor was fuming and rightly so, Delap was so eager to get the ball he goes blind as where our players are situated he's got a lot to learn that it's not all about one man as good as he is you have to know who has got the better chances to score and come Tuesday night we had better have an improved game plan because Palace will sort us out if we let them play and give them space to work in, we must play like when we beat Tottenham strong and aggressive. plus as some have mentioned here we certainly need more quality signings in the Jan window

I think it's a bit harsh to criticise him for that. The ball is ping ponging inside the box and he's stuck a leg out at it. It wasn't as if it was mucking up a set move or coordinated build up play.

Agree it was the chance that we needed to take though.

Definitely need reinforcements. We just don't have the depth in the quality to continually threaten in attack.

Jack Clarke has moments but something really isn't working for him at the moment. I'm wondering if he needs to get a start so he can build into the game a bit more. Chappers busts a gut out there but he doesn't have enough physical presence or flair to truly scare the opposition. I love Burns but I feel like he doesn't believe in himself out there. Losing Ogbene for the season was a real blow.

As soon as Hutch or Smzomdics get tired we lose pretty much all our attacking threat. This is reflected by the fact we have only scored 3 goals in the second half all season... 3! 2 of those goals were after 85 minutes, so we have only scored 1 goal between the 45th and 85th minute in 13 games of football (or 1 goal in 520 minutes of playing time). That is a massive concern.

Last year our success was due to the fact we were scoring for fun after the 65 minute mark.

I think we need an out and out no 10 to feed Delap, Smzomdics/Clarke and Hutch/Burns. Chaplin is a good back up who can be a menace when coming on as a sub. We also need a backup big man now that Hirst is injured again.

Maybe you didn't, but that doesn't mean there wasn't any.

It was slight, and the player that went down squealing like a pig is a typical Portuguese cheat, but there was contact: I saw it, most of the Sky and BBC pundits saw it, and most importantly the referee saw it.

I reckon we were better then we were in the other games in what we may have once considered to be in our bottom six relation battle.

Really feel that we are going to struggle to stay up this season. Although I felt that Forest were not that great yesterday they deserved their win especially as we couldn’t even lay a glove on them in the 2nd half. You got the feeling amongst our support that there was no conviction that we would get back into the game once Forest went ahead.
Two home games now where basically we need to pick up at least 4 points otherwise I can see us beginning to fall adrift of the other strugglers before the January transfer window. Trouble is that Palace are starting to get their key players back from injury and Bournemouth showed yesterday they are capable of scoring goals against teams that are near the bottom of the league.
Hate to be so negative and hope that somehow we can turn things around this week.

I'm more optimistic, it wasn't a great performance but the last couple of minutes with Burgess playing #9 and Muric having a go at a 96th minute equaliser, hey, the season's only getting started.

Agreed, you can't blame Delap for trying to win the ball in the opposition box with defenders all over the place, it was just very unfortunate.

I think we need a bit of perspective here, that was our first defeat in 4 and if this weeks 2 home games go the way I am expecting them too it will be 1 defeat in 6, that will be pretty good going. Forest have been going very well this season and needed a soft penalty to beat us when we were not at the races. Still very tight around us at the bottom, and looking at the fixtures some of our rivals have tough Decembers

Thing is Mike, we really need to start to get a few wins as we can’t keep relying on the other teams around us dropping points. Really feel this coming week is crucial to how the rest of the season pans out. As I said imo we need at least 4 points from these 2 games to build some momentum going into the Christmas period.
Going off topic just a bit, although I haven’t been to the City ground for a few years I couldn’t believe how outdated some of the ground was. Having been in the Premier league for a few years you would have thought it would have had some improvements made especially as we were forced to make so many ground improvements on our return to the top tier. Our wheelchair users had to go through their fans to get to our section and there was only one accessible toilet for disabled away fans. Certainly won’t be in any rush to go back there.
