Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
I'm sure everyone is aware; Southampton's win yesterday has knocked us out of the automatic positions. Can we regain our position, or is this the beginning of a reality check? Can we even hold on to a playoff place?

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Are you serious?! We’d have to have an epic fall to move out of the play off spots - a run that would have KM lucky to keep his job. It’s like a 15 point gap, given ALL the teams would need to win constantly that would be some insane form changes

Also remember saints have alot of the top sides to play away still.
I’d not put money against them beating us to second though, but I think it’ll be close either way.

I would go as far as to say the play offs are a given and looking at the fixture run in we have a very good chance of top Two given that Southampton have to travel to all the big boys still.

Yes indeed. People keep banging on about Saints run of form but whenever I’ve looked at who they’ve played the teams appear mud table or lower. However, momentum is everything, as we know, and Saints have built up a head of steam.

I thought in the first half yesterday they looked unstoppable. More ordinary in the second half (although they were 3-1 up by then.)

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Saints are having a good run at the mo, we all know it us not sustainable for that long, especially in this league, that's my opinion anyway. You need to hit form mid Feb into the latter end if the season, I think they have peaked too early, we just need to hang on in there. How often have we seen teams come out of nowhere in the final month or so to grab a playoff place.
We have to play them again and that will be key, we need to hope we get in some decent firepower and keep up the push, something I have total faith in KM for.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Just watched Leeds v Preston which looked like Leeds were about to drop a point to a fabulous Preston performance which was gifted away in added time by a Ryan Ledson’s needless hand ball, it was so unnecessary he’ll most certainly be having a sleepless night tonight. The resultant penalty was calmly put away by Joel Piroe on 90+4, Lucky lucky Leeds.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Hopefully once we gets this difficult set of fixtures ( ending with Leicester), we can start to get our mojo back. But who we finally bring into the club has to hit the ground running.
Looks like Moore is playing for Bournemouth this afternoon- so maybe he’s passed us by as an option.

That's only a possible line up so we won't know until half three.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 3:39 pmHopefully once we gets this difficult set of fixtures ( ending with Leicester), we can start to get our mojo back. But who we finally bring into the club has to hit the ground running.

Yes Liz all 11 minutes wow  if I was Kieffer I would get my arse out of there and join us for some guaranteed game time this coming week wouldn't be soon enough.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 3:39 pmHopefully once we gets this difficult set of fixtures ( ending with Leicester), we can start to get our mojo back. Appleton sacked by Charlton that's not good news for Freddie but hopefully it will still work out for him.

Anyone else noticed Paul Cooks Chesterfield are 14 pts clear at the top of their division, with 2 games in hand? He’s doing a brilliant job there.

Hallam we all love you, but…please don’t remind me Cook was once our manager.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 9:24 pmAnyone else noticed Paul Cooks Chesterfield are 14 pts clear at the top of their division, with 2 games in hand? He’s doing a brilliant job there.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES

Now Lambert, HE was a sh*t manager for us . He’s the primary reason we had over 50 professionals on our books, because he never booted anyone out, but just kept brining em in.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
If there was a poll to decide which manager properly made a mess of the club (manager, not owners)......, then yep, Lambert tops the list. What an absolute disaster of a job he carried out. Daylight between him in first and whoever anyone thinks is in second.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 11:50 pmNow Lambert, HE was a sh*t manager for us . Thankfully all in the past.
The next Sir Bobby at the wheel now.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Well nodge coped with Leeds far better than we did. They had a 15 min spell in 2nd half where they had Leeds pinned back.
Wish to god we had approached that game with a more cautious tactic for once, we might have got a point out of it.

Watching Man City v Spurs tonight . MC build it from the back like we do…. But they do it three times faster in terms of passing intensity . Wish we would “ up” the pace … as we feel like we are walking it up the pitch at times….

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Thought both teams were actually really well matched : cancelling each other out by and large. Quite absorbing to watch at times…. For some reason I actually wanted City to win … think I just love their football style. Not sure where I’ve seen it b4!

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Yet the BBC stats suggest otherwise. Was shocked to see Spurs had 1 shot (which was at least on target) on goal compared to City's 18 (5 on target). The corner count score was 2-18!hallamblue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 11:27 pmThought both teams were actually really well matched : cancelling each other out by and large.
I watched the first few minutes of the game up to City's early disallowed goal, and would concur that the opening exchanges certainly looked even, albeit a midfield battle!

Leeds v Plymouth currently 1-1. An away replay is not what Leeds will need in a month when they already have to travel to Bristol , Swansea and Plymouth!!

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Or flight to Exeter, then 92 mile round trip to Plymouth from the airport. Either way, still a total pain in the a$$! But you only got yourselves to blame Leeds......, should've taken a leaf out of the Ipswich book --->> and let Argyle score.AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 6:08 pmOh yes, lovely. A very rough glance at the Mark Derby......, think its another Blue of Azzurro win ---->> thus far, Team M69 , (Family Fortunes noise) X
