Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
1-0 to Wrexham : good goal tbh … their first real attack ( sound familiar?)
Gallagher looks a right lump up front . He’s 6ft 4ins apparently…. Not particularly quick and compared to our players doesn’t demonstrate that high intensity were used to from Hirst. He very much hovers on the edge of the 18yard area ….. hmmmm any better than Freddie? I’m not so sure .
Wrexham should be 2-0 up btw … their fans are making such a bloody noise too.

2 Blackburn gosls in 3 mins , Szmodics (assist by Gallagher) and Gallagher… who looked bloody quick onto a through ball on half way line … so maybe not such a slouch after all lol

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Luton won at Everton in the F.A Cup at the weekend, atonement for '85, '86, although in present time it really isn't saying much. I don't see much what Brighton get up to but believe they've come on leaps and bounds in recent seasons, they're bigger or more accomplished than before.
The Leicester result was frustrating, we can't afford to allow them to get further ahead but a 10 points margin with games remaining is not insurmountable. Once again 2nd position will work for us, obtain a promotion, and I'd be more concerned with the teams directly behind us than Leicester getting further distance in first position.

Stirling is the most overrated player in England’s history! Chillwell not much better. Thank god Kane went to BM, he’ll be a better player. Southgate has a lot to consider. Is it time to reset the national squad? Me thinks YES!!

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Shame Liverpools wing back isn’t English, what a great game he played tonight with one goal, two assists and some brilliant attacking and defensive play. No surprise he was MOTM. Even bigger shame he’s got to dislodge Trent-Alexander to get a regular place on the team which is the only thing that stops me putting him in my Fantasy Team.

Yeah it was lovely to see the young Northern Irelander make his mark on the game! So happy for him! He deserves a party tonight! Well done, lad!Charnwood wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:20 pmShame Liverpools wing back isn’t English, what a great game he played tonight with one goal, two assists and some brilliant attacking and defensive play. Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Can't see the logic in wishing the English to reset the team. It were painful to see but hell they very almost became Champions of Europe just a couple of years back, World Cup semi directly before it and did well last time out in Qatar. Easily best spell of success since Alf Ramsey, on the very verge of the highest honors. Maybe in the year, 18 months since they've fallen away or become not as proficient as before but suggesting a team change ? Kind of bizarre maybe.
Guess if they're (really) not as great as once was, that's a real shame, however on last evidence just appeared at the top of their game.

The thing is, we didn’t win…anything yet. But we’re on the cusp of stamping our foot on Europe and dare I say, the World. Maybe not a reset as I stated, but certainly a tweak yeah?arana peligrosa wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:38 amCan't see the logic in wishing the English to reset the team. That was a horse collar foul!! Anyway don’t remind me, the occasion was my going away party…a last hoorah before I moved to Georgia. There I was…St George’s flag draped around my neck…defeated! Everyone left the party after that cuz they could see I was very angry! It could have been a great day to go out, but it didn’t happen. Oh well, such is life. But, that’s why…

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Ye see, i have no idea what “expectation” is like.
You guys have no real “trophy” expectations for Ipswich but you have for England.
I have Hibs, Ipswich, the Loser Leos & Scotland. Its very relaxed and calm.

Think about it, I’m an England, Ipswich and Cowboys fan! I am not relaxed and calm! However, my beloved Texas Rangers came through…finally. So I can bathe in the success of baseball for a moment, but I’m still twitching.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
This for anyone with an interest in Scottish football, (So Mike and Arana)....., this is funny, from 2015. I have just finished watching the Challenge Cup Semi Final between Raith & Airdrie. Was checking out a few things about Airdrie and saw this story about their "Illegal badge" and tattooed supporters being forced to have their tattoos removed. The reporter has written this with some humour....., check out the paragraph starting with "Heraldic devices" ...., and what Airdrie fans will be forced to do!
