Haha Norwich were winning it ended 2-2.

Brighton drew 2-2 which is handy.

Only handy if we had won. Points gap still the same but other teams have gone further ahead or closed on us. Pi$$ poor result at home to the type of team we should and need to beat if we are going to challenge.

Disappointing. Two points perhaps dropped.... Maybe one gained. Always good to get a late equaliser. My mood improved because West Ham got last minute equaliser, too.
Love MM, but think he should tinker with some of his favourites.... Bru's got to be given a chance. Maybe defence, too.

Ok lets be honest before the game we wouldn't have took a point but being 2-1 down for most of the 2nd half and I honestly couldn't see us breaking them down and thought we were going to lose so to get out of jail with a point I'm very happy with the result which some fans might moan about but better than losing!

I don't mean to be picking on your posts, so please don't take it like that, but so what?

I couldn't give a toss what they're doing. We, (and I normally bemoan people who say this) should be beating teams like this at home. It is not good enough.

An entire 11 was changed on Wednesday, with no consideration to the travelling fans, on the basis that we needed to keep fresh for this weekend which was a more important fixture.

Well that didn't sodding work did it. Their first goal was feeble. Deflected granted, but it was p*ss poor to concede that. The second, once again just letting teams stroll through the middle.

Maybe i'm just having an off day, but 2-2 against them isn't something to be particularly thrilled about. The scums result isn't going to make me feel any better

Just how poor were we??? Glad we threw the mid week cup game so our "first team" could prepare for little old Bristol. Truly shocking lack lustre performance. I hope they all get Sunday training now.

But MM wont do that will he :x

Disappointing is an understatement. Bottom team but one and we not only failed to beat them, but we played badly to boot.

Where are the problems? Manager ie. team selection (eg. Skuse & Douglas), tactics, players attitude/ lack of skills, or are just not good enough?

I don't mean to stir things up, but let's have some opinions. Rossi included.

Tend to think our "current problems stem from 3 things..and these may be negated once guys are fit..well some of them.

Unbalanced defence...Chambo is not a right back.!! , Tommy is on the wrong foot playing where he is...and Knudsen ?is still finding his feet to be fair..but we need a RB and move Chambers into the middle for tommy or drop him. Berra out of from at present but we know he has quality as a CD

Current MF , Yep Skuse and Douglas can break up play , but cant drive the team forward as a pair from the central role , just to similar in the middle - Bru or Bishop will change this imo

Strikers - being chopped and changed all over the place , Murph is out of sorts , and McG has been poor for some time to be honest , very selfish on the ball , but flatters to deceive has the guys has real skill , cant fault Sears , or Pitman who have both been ok and keep getting put out wide

Keepers..simple one for me..Bart should be playing as he is the better of the 2 keepers

Ok this is beginning to sound like a broken record. We should be better than last year, but imo we're going backwards. I think Rossi might be on to something. Sort it out MM!

(Anyone else getting fed up with opposing fans commenting about how poor we are?)

Yes, from what I've seen this season, (and read), Gerkin blows. He needs emptied asap. Not sure he's even good enough as a back up.

Do the defence make him nervous? Or is it him making the defence nervous? Root out that problem Mick.

Gerken pulled off a terrific save at the beginning of the game so i'll give him that but yes he should of saved Freeman's goal.

Three things strike me.

1. We have lost our creative midfielders ( Bru and Bishop) to injury and this has forced MM's hand in that he has to ( but does he?) put two defensive MF, Skuse and Douglas togther in thd middld. They are slow , and er, defensive minded first and foremost, and far to similar in style. Effect ? We get out thought and over run through the middle.

2. The back four are SLOW as a unit, and have a mediocre GK ( whichever one is in goal) behind them. Chambers continues to be played out of position. Smith continues to be played out of position.

Opponents TARGET our right back, and Smith covers poorly.

Mick needs to show some balls now and sort the fuckin right back , CB pairing situation out, and at the earliest possible time get a better GK in.

3. Mick appears to havd too much choice in his squad with the stikers, and he is continually changing thdm. Theres poor continuity therefore.

So McCarthy tampers with just about the entire squad at Wednesdays game in preparation of the league and lo and behold it takes a goal in the last five minutes to salvage a draw at home against an opposition we really should be taking three points from. Bottom line, this is disappointing to see - furthermore it's something of an embarrassment.

So McCarthy (and fans) don't give a f*ck about cup progress - and when the times comes for something that's all so relevant and imperative we can't even deliver. Sorry, but something here has an odor to it.

Only got the score within the last hour, read the report from TWTD and it would appear was even fortunate to get a point in the end ? 20,000 represents a decent turnout but apart from the late salvage, doesn't appear to be a game to remember.

Thing is, and like it or not, it's looking likely once again (even at this early stage) that this team is simply too inconsistent to really challenge for a promotion, as before.

I can't work out what the f*ck the Manchester United game has got to do with any of it? Most of them didn't play Wednesday, so they are expected to win today? EH?

Take Manchester United OUT of the equation, and its just a Saturday to Saturday set of fixtures.

If any one of you had the chance to speak to Mick McCarthy about todays game and you started banging on about team selection and Manchester United, he'd tell you to f*ck off out his face.

I just wonder how many Town players may have been pissed off or demotivated because they didn't get selected to play at Man Utd. If MM had made fewer changes and the team had played a good game at Old Trafford I'm pretty sure that would have been better prep for today's game.

Ask most professional players and they'll tell you they'd much prefer to play two games a week than train, and hate being rested.

In my opinion MM made a massive mistake in his team selection at Man Utd and in my humble opinion that may have had an impact on team motivation today.

My further opinion is that MM knows f*ck all about player motivation.

Dull, dull dull.

The funny thing is I know fully well if we played out best team at Man Utd lost by same score line and drew today people would be moaning why didn't he "rest" players midweek.

You really can't win with Town fans

Just be thankful we scored late and got an point, as most of the time we rarely get anything when losing in the dying seconds the opposition is irrelevant.

Anyway it's always same story with Town fans lose at Reading end of the world. win at Leeds and everything is all rosy again.

Even got use the years Town fans moaning when we do win, oh makes laugh all the time

With all due respect, mate......, If there is any truth in that whatsoever, I'd put every one of the overpaid c*nts on the f**king transfer list.
