Sunderland looked the better team to start with but Ipswich got stronger as the game went on,good goal, need to improve if we are going to win this, more relaxed after the goal :)

That was a tough 45 mins, first 10 to 15 we were run ragged, we seemed nervous and jittery, Hladky had a couple of iffy moments but so did the defence who kept giving the ball away. We did start to get more into the game and as it's gone on we've actually had the better chances tbh, Chaplin was very unlucky with the deflection that took his wide while Davis could so easily have scored, of course Bellingham missed a sitter too.

Been a bit disappointed with Chaplin, Burns and Hirst, no they haven't had an awful lot of the ball but when they have they've given it away too often, we need to tighten up.

I think I'd give it 15 mins but if nothing changes I'd be getting Hutchinson and Ladapo on. To be fair we haven't buckled under the pressure and there has been glimpses that we can trouble their defence. Our goal wasn't a bad move to be fair and hopefully it takes a little bit of wind out of their sails, the first 15 mins of the second half is key, if we can ride that out we have a good chance.

To be one up against the run of play should boost our confidence but to be fair to the boys we have created the better chances.

Oh my life.

What an effort. 6 inches lower and it would have been 3.

We have got the pace of this new fangled league since half time.

Think we were caught out by the speed initially.

The first 20 were frenetic, but it seems we settled in about the half hour mark

What a weird game Town dominant this half but we're outclassed in the first....

I think we were a bit overawed at the start and allowed them to dominate. Since we scored we’ve looked much the better team and have created far more chances than Sunderland. Games won’t come much tougher than Sunderland away so this will do us the power of good. We need fear no one. I just hope we can hold them off for during the final period but Sunderland are one of the best Championship teams for picking up points from a losing position.

Did Broadhead score first on 45 minutes , I believe got him as first scorer in the PL at that exact time. What the f*ck.

We seem good value for this lead, they had a player dismissed, didn't see the incident. Maybe referee turned away a penalty decision for us, doesn't seem to matter much in that we're winning with something to spare.

Wasn't sure of today, thought maybe a loss but this is real good start for the team in a new League. Need to get proper details and analysis when the time arises but you can't argue this start and winning lead. They've got one back ? Hell don't let this slip now.

I knew they would come at us but didn’t expect them to get a quarter of an hour which is what it will be by the time the game ends.

This will be a real test.

You can’t believe they can have so much possession with 10 men.

You need to get used to it cos this will be the new norm. It will certainly reduce time wasting which was getting ridiculous last season.
