Oh jeez, not looking fwd to this weekend of football. You guys with the finger on the pulse of proceedings & the cabbage & ribs no doubt getting spanked from the Jambos at Easter Rd on Sunday…… Can see it all far enough.
But there are TWO votes for the TB’s now up top…….. its only taken all week to double the votes!

Am I the only one not really looking forward to the game this weekend? My usual enthusiasm has waned quite a but already.
Strangely enough and despite my not liking the season much so far, I am actually really excited about this one. I think we are due a change of fortune and why not tomorrow? OK - you can point out the defence, the opposition, the gulf in class etc - but what else?!

I am going and really looking forward to a new ground so I am optimistic for at least a point. COYB's !!

I'm sure when i wake up tomorrow I'll feel really up for it and hopeful, it would just take that one good result and performance to reinvigorate my interest in the Premier League and hopefully a performance where we cut out the ridiculous defensive errors.

I've voted for a draw but, in my gut, I have a feeling this is one we will win. Anything from this game will, hopefully, settle us down and restore some confidence.
We knew the season was going to be difficult. Our squad is not really strong enough to survive comfortably at this level, and we have no depth. Our big strengths are a good manager (though he us still learning his craft) and a strong team ethic which normally makes us a pain in the arse to play against.
Nothing has changed. If we don't strengthen the squad in January it will be a big ask to stay up, but I have faith in KMcK. I think we'll do it.

Hey Marko, welcome back!
I am one of the blind faith fools - not sure why, just think we're due a break and a bit of luck. And McK will have a game plan

It hasn't worked in the last two games true, but it did in the two before. Is Brentford away a bit like Brighton away? Clutching at straws, but that's where we are right now.
Talking of where we are, I'd say there's a fair chance the bottom three get nothing this weekend.

I also heard that the team is;
Muric
Clarke O’Shea Burgess Davis
Phillips Cajuste
Ogbene Omari Szmodicks
Hirst
Believe what you will. Not sure if it’s a very reliable source. No found we will find out at 2.

Is it someone you know well Andy ?
That's actually the defence I had selected too, best we have available at present, I also hope Szmodics and Hutchinson are switched.
It's the centre midfield pairing and attack that worries me, looks so weak. If ever we needed Hirst to step up it's today if that line up is correct.

Hutchinson central, 8 games, 0 goals, 1 assist. If he continues to be played there, then McKenna will really go down in my estimations, he must be the only person left in Ipswich who doesn't want to see him on the right. I'm starting to think he's doing it out of stubbornness, as that's what the fans are calling for.
Szmodics given a chance centrally, Hutchinson moved to the wing where he can 1v1 with fullbacks, 95% of his threat is in that situation. This is madness.

I agree, he is showing his naivety as a manager as I see it, to keep doing the same thing when it clearly isn't working is madness, the difference in the final 20 minutes against Everton when Hutch went to right wing was bloody obvious, add to that we've totally nullified the best goalscorer in the Championship last season by signing him and then leaving him on the bench or out of position, it's ignorance. I'm actually just starting to wish he'd pissed of to Brighton.

Yikes, this is starting to feel like a pre season game while in the Championship. Have a run out against prem opposition with no expectations , just try not to be on the end of a cricket score...
Edit... Delap benched?!

Delap carrying an injury by all accounts, Morsy, Hutchinson and Taylor all injured too. Our training methods must be absolutely sh*te seeing as they all finished the last game ok

For me, I can't bring myself to believe that had all the fans preferences been adopted, the team would be sitting on more points. I do not believe the manager is that blind. Because if he IS, then the L1 and Champ seasons were bordering on fluke. Very unlucky with defensive injuries hindering the chances of getting fans onboard.
But, (my view and opinion only) was always a HUGE learning curve and a free hit of a season, and a stepping stone season for better years to come, like Bournemouth etc etc.
Will never bust his nuts......, not yet for absolute sure.

skipper Sam Morsy and Jack Taylor, who have knocks, and Omari Hutchinson, who is ill, new absentees from the 20-man squad.
We understand Morsy has a hamstring issue which isn't expected to keep him out beyond today.
That's not good hopefully some will be back next week but I fear for today.🫣

Shows we are down to bare bones when 2 keepers need to be named on the bench.

2 Town corners in first 7 minutes!

My '3 corners' prediction is looking pretty ropey already lol.
