It looked a bit harsh to me. There was I thinking we should have had a penalty.

2 yellow cards for 'time wasting' yet no penalty given when at least 1 was deserved imo

Re: Premier League - Ipswich Town vs Leicester City Preview & Matchday Thread
Another one of ours dismissed. Haven't seen the incident, don't know what Phillips got up to there but stupid to allow with a one goal advantage with time running out. Game seemed to have started late there today, we're a few minutes behind others.
If we hold on it appears a deserved win. Improved seem second 45, more chances, they continued to be largely ineffective. It's tough to ascertain when not actually viewing the damn thing. First PL win since 2002 is well within grasp, this will be a momentous moment for all Town fans wherever you find them when we get victory in a short time.

Let’s just hope we can see this game out and manage the closing minutes better than we have so far.

Morsy lost possession, so p*ss poor only himself to blame for me. Why the f*ck didn’t we just try to keep the bloody ball.
Doesn’t help having 10 men and that was harsh too.

The f*ck is going on.. Trying to keep up with scores and Leicester now level ? Seriously, what the hell.
Fifth minute of additional time and we've allowed a winning position to slip, don't know what else to add to that actually. Was Muric at fault again and how the hell can they be playing nearly 10 minutes of added time for this. Must have been the send off incident or something but this really isn't good enough. Really thought victory was there for us today and they're still playing. Guess there's still time for it to happen.

I don’t complain usually, but that was the worst ref I have ever seen

Cant do anything with the added time that Leicester created by wasting time with ten men and on the back foot. Phillips can do one for me, total waste of a midfield space. Better options at the club

I thought he was shocking too. I must admit it was one part of the game where I expected much better in the PremierOhiotractorboy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 6:08 pmI don’t complain usually, but that was the worst ref I have ever seen
League but this hasn’t proved to be the case so far. .

It all stemmed from Phillips Red card, then Hirst and Cajuste just came on and got a yellow each, I will be interested to know where the ref got 11 minutes extra time from, nothing is going our way, flogging a dead horse, I hope K M brings in another 2 defenders and by the looks of it another strong midfield player

Starting to drift away from the rest. If CP win we are in real trouble. Still easy match coming up. Spurs away-easy 3 pointer

The irony of that. Priceless. f**king gold.
And that's that. Game's over, we came so near to that elusive victory but it wasn't to be. Don't know what happened at the end there, read some reaction from the muddled disarray that is the TWTD forum and seems one of our players was fouled in the build up, VAR messed up again, we should have been given a penalty somewhere in between. It's all a bit hazy right now until you can view actual play to ascertain incident.
It should be 10 games in now without victory. McKenna's great, he's done wonders for us no doubt but this now stage of season and failure to win any one game, more people can and will question the manager's suitability. Leicester got away with it today, they should be a beaten team but it's not the first time we've found ourselves in this position. Guess some things just aren't meant to be.
At least Norwich let a winning position go to lose at Cardiff with minutes remaining. Idiots on the Pink Un won't be so quick to condemn us after that.

Re: Premier League - Ipswich Town vs Leicester City Preview & Matchday Thread
Absolute f**king joke, a blatant foul not given, they go up the other end and score, it's a farce, we killed them today and for what, cheated again. I just hate this f**king league, it's awful.
For what it's worth I thought we were superb today, for me Johnson, Morsy and Phillips were superb, Muric much better, everyone did their bit.
What a goal too, a sublime pass from Morsy and what a finish by Davis, it deserved to win a game we dominated.
As for the ref, an utter disgrace, one of the worst yet, gave them so many incorrect decisions.
All in all at this moment I hate f**king football and everything it stands for, I don't think we'll win a game all season the way our luck is going. Outplayed them and still don't win.

I'm done with the PL, so done. We deserve better. A level playing field is all any of us ask for.

Have to say I totally agree. Whether there was a foul or not, with two men closing in on him and not another town player in sight, I just wish Morsy had hoofed the ball further up the pitch for a throw in!
Morsy generally had a fantastic game as always, just incase any thinks I'm particularly pinpointing him for blame.

I’ve not seen it in slo-mo and only watched it in real time, however Mike, I think you’ll find Morsy just ran himself into trouble and had we had that given against us as a foul I think you’d have gone f**king crazy.Bluemike wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 6:22 pmAbsolute f**king joke, a blatant foul not given, they go up the other end and score, it's a farce, we killed them today and for what, cheated again. It hurts to be a Town Fan, I actually feel like we lost today and not gained a Point
