You have my comments. Perhaps you should read Marko's post about aggression.

Probably better to take a time out here Mach. I know you well enough to know something has really angered you for you to react so strongly. I have read through your posts and nowhere can I see where you have said anything about "real fans" etc so maybe this is a massive misunderstanding or something.

For the sake of good order I have also looked back at the Huddersfield preview posts and see that I used the word 'real' when the word should have been 'true'. My comments related to MPB's response to Marko's post at 0906am when MPB mentioned meeting up with other fans etc and being true Ipswich. I read this as in inferred dig at non-travelling fans, hence my remarks.

If this was not what MPB meant I will gladly offer him an apology although that in no way changes my other comments made in other posts on the thread.

I hope this will clarify things for all concerned

Didn't expect this issue to degenerate into fighting among established members. Mach Polish Blue's comments were surprising to see but in the situation of the club struggling and amid a season that has produced little, there is always going to be propensity for argument with some sections.

It's a forum for crying out loud, there will be differences of opinion, if everyone was on the same page regards team endeavors then fan pages like this wouldn't exist. There are those that applaud the manager and owner, and those that view otherwise.

As for the loyalty of team dependant on travel issue, that will invariably come to the fore and you can see where people are getting at. "Where you at the game today ? No, Ok, we'll dismiss your allegiances to the team etc"

Yes they are entitled to their opinion but be aware they are also running the risk of causing unrest with it. Maybe when the team picks up and gets back on track there will be better harmony on the pages.

Must be an English thing whereby people question allegiance to a team due to lack of away visits.

But there are the people who think that "an opinion right" disappears with non travel to away games.

Fan who was probably working: Shocking performance
Fan who was at the game: were you at the game?
Fan who was probably working: no
Fan who was at the game: well how do you know then? You have no opinion.
Fan who was probably working: HELLO! Read 5 separate reports saying the same thing and saw the highlights. Fk off you self important c**t.
Fan who was at the game: yeah but, yeah but, yeah but, but but but..........,

I havent actually seen any comments having a dig at non travelling fans though Marko, it is something that seems to have been dragged into the discussions by non travelling fans PMSL.

I guess you are having a dig at me here Mike, as is your right.

I have however tried to explain my reasoning and offered to apologize if I was off the mark. I chose to ignore other comments about me being a liar and being in coma for the last few seasons that were thrown at me for having the temerity to disagree with someone. I have also been labelled scum and troll on another thread which if weren't so pathetic it would be funny.

Response to Bluemike:

That's ok, buddy..... I'm speaking from personal experience. Never miss Easter Road games, and in my 20's til about early 30's, never missed an away game......, but work, kids, wife, money, can't be arsed-ness, all became parts of the equation.

Even these days, I get my kill at, "Aw no way mate, were you at the game? Were you? Eh?"

I ain't kidding here, but back in November, was at Easter Road and Cummings scored an absolute peach. But prior to the goal, a guy who stands close to us let out an amazing fart and we were all laughing looking at each other etc etc, and we all MISSED the goal. In the pub later, my mate who watched it on HIBS TV, (not at the game) said to ME, (who was AT THE GAME!) "See Cummings goal? Fkn raker eh?" ........., "No! Didn't see it!"

It's all just a big misunderstanding with MPB sounding like going from calm to Full Metal Jacket in a second. Pretty sure all will move on from it. Don't be like Herbivore, Barmy and disappear forever.

This forum gets tense from March - May! Imagine the club in the EPL relegation zone.

"Were you to the EMIRATES YESTERDAY?"
"Suck on it a$$hole!"

It'd be quality stuff! :D

Billy , trust me I am not having a dig at anyone. I have gone out of my way to avoid confrontation the last couple of days while all around me seem to be getting involved in it, it makes a refreshing change to see others going at it LOL.

Getting back on topic here....... Prior to the udders game, the poll stood at (in order of the options) 12, 16, 8....... They are now, 13, 21, 8

On the strength of yesterday's game, 5 more people have voted that he sees out his contract.

Sorry to bring back such a controversial thread or as Mach-Polish put it, "ridiculous" haha! However, the rumor mongers are beginning to link MM with Villa and Newcastle. So, does anyone think he'll go? And, who then should replace MM here if he did go?

I dont think MM would leave us for another Championship Club. Especially a Midlands or NE one because his home is Kent / Surrey region and Ipswich is no problem regards travel to home.

The other thing that makes me feel he wouldnt leave is he is basically loyal. Hes only had 3 domestic league Clubs in his entire career - we are only his 4th one. The only situations personally I could see him leavingfor would be an offer of PL or International management.

Yeah, I'd tend to agree Hallam. Also, I don't think he'd be enthusiastic about the American ownership at Villa. I'm sure he feels Martin O'Neil must of had good reasons to leave. I can't see a healthy relationship with Mike Ashley either.

I can see Villa falling and falling if someone decent doesn't get hold of the club soon. There are strong rumours Nigel Pearson could be replacing Remi Garde in the not too distant.

I pity anyone who takes on Newcastle Utd. Ashley is a prize plumb tbh.

It was Paul Merson who has suggested that Villa should go for Mick. Him leaving and Evans maintaining policy could turn out disastrous for us.

Perhaps this is an unfortunate indication that Merson has taken too much Coke up his nose.

(Suppose for arguments sake Aston Villa are relegated and they bring in McCarthy for talks as a potential candidate are they really going to give the job to someone who has can't get his current team out of the championship league and has proved often unbearable regards tactics and philosophy ? Yes they'll fire whoever they've got in the meantime, but looking to get back into the EPL at say first attempt, to suggest McCarthy as a potential name is borderline ludicrous)

Met Merse years ago while taking my son around the Emirates. Absolute gem of a bloke. And superb on Soccer Saturday, always game for a laugh. Good lad. But there will always be total fkn wankstains out there who'll want to remind us of his less fortunate days though. Sad C*nts.

A bit harsh Marko but the same thought crossed my mind.

He's a man who clearly has an addictive personality who spent 8+ years of his life fighting against addictions to alcohol, drugs and gambling which cost him two marriages and almost his life.

All credit to him for surviving this and getting his life back on track, reenergising his media career and building self respect and furthermore playing a part in the 16 man squad of England Legends.

I admire him for this.

Why would MM going to Villa be ludicrous on their part ?

Surely if he can get ITFC in or close to the play off zone with little or no investment and sell top players along the way, he should be a reasonable candidate to do a good job at a club prepared to support him financially.

His tactics may at times appear outdated but he only has what he has to work with.
