Two things I’ve noticed about HC , is he has a brilliant nack of when he’s bringing the ball forwards, he’ll slow slightly, tempting the defender to make a move towards the ball. As soon as they do that , Clarke immediately makes a second surge, leaving them for dead. The second thing I see is he has a tendency to hit a very hard pass, over overshooting the space he’s putting it into , or being far to hard for Burns ( often) to get on the end of. The Boy doesn’t know his own strength…and he is very strong. As you say number 9, he’s going to be a very good signing for us 👍

I view today's game from a different perspective than when play first ended. Back then it were a feeling of injustice and frustration but you got to take all and any positives even from a score that doesn't quite match our reqiirements.

What is it, 4 losses from 40 games this season. f**king hell it's remarkable whichever way you view it, that's some real achievement, something you can take pride in. The run of eight or nine successive wins and keeping goals out at the same time speaks for itself. It don't require further elaboration or use of superlatives.

So we hit a stumbling block. Big deal, the season goes on. Can't quite bring onself to berate Walton he's done so well for us over time including this season. The kid made an error of sorts, cost us a victory maybe but guess not all squad members pulled their weight out there today. Can't imagine the team not winning was down to one moment or individual.

We'll make the play-offs for sure and possibly automatic promotion. Hell if they'd offered that back in August I'd have taken their arm off. it's always the same though, the top two ARE a damn nuisance. Just move on from today and meet the next challenge .

On reflection your right AP (and Frosty of course lol). Think its the feeling of what could of been that really hits, we were top for a few minutes and could of stayed if things went to plan, which they did not, thats life.

It was a great run, I am just hoping we get back to winning ways Saturday (and Broadhead is back) and this was just a blip, especially at the sharp end of the season and all the hard work thats been put in, by the club and the fans, that light in the distance is getting brighter everyday.

COYB!

I didn't see the game but it seems from the reports on Harness and the play overall that Nathan Broadhead has become something of a talisman already. Maybe we simply don't play as well without him.

I did watch the Bolron, Shrewsbury and Derby games on ifollow and he just looks a class act. His anticipation of the where the ball will drop buys him a yard before he's even in possession. And then his vision and pace are really impressive. Look forward to getting him back!

Personally I don't think it had anything to do with Broadhead not being available, I do think however that Edwards should have been selected from the start to replace him instead of Harness who was poor. We dropped the points because of Two things, we were poor as a unit and a terrible individual error from Walton, it happens, we can't win every game, not possible, as it is we kinda got away with it what with Plymouth losing and the game in hand on Wednesday.

Ah fair enough. Like I say, didn't see the game. NB is a class act though, that's for sure

Our attacking threat down the left was definitely restricted with Broadheads absence as Leif Davis himself NB and George Hirst have been linking up well over recent weeks in the same way that Clarke, Burns & Chaplin work as a unit down the right leaving Morsy and Luongo to plough through the middle.

If you think of the first half last night our attacking threat down the left was almost non existent and unfortunately our best chance of the game fell to Harness who really struggled to get going. Whilst I like Edwards pace I don’t think his all round play is at the same level as Broadhead who’s also brimming with confidence at the moment and it’s confidence that looked really lacking last night right from the start. For whatever reason which we’ll never know we simply didn’t get into our stride last night. It could be as simple as never having won against them before got into their heads.

It’s still 25 points from 27 which is a brilliant achievement in itself and shouldn’t derail our run in whereas a defeat could have as we’ve seen with our closest rivals.
