2,214 of our own were in attendance so says TWTD. We made up nearly a third of the 7k + crowd and whichever way you view it that's a fine number to have made the trip. Don't know why no further draw has been made, they were real quick enough last time out to determine next opponents.
First third round appearance in eight years or something. Back then or time in between we didn't even try or give a crap in trying to extend any season. Just want a no-thrills favorable game next, something within our capabilities etc.

Hello Wilf. According to the Reading sources there was over 2200 Town fans and it certainly looked like that in our end. That means 700-800 people bought the tickets to gain the points and didn't turn up.Blue Wilf wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 4:26 pmHi Mach - were there many Town fans there? I ask as I know loads (me included) whom bought tickets but didn't go just to get the point on this stupid new system! I told the head of ticketing of this issue (and the fact that some are selling their tickets online to get points but not attend). I suggested that they may expect 3000 fans but only 50 turn up sue to the ned to get points! He said it was something they are trying to address. Any view please?Mach_Polish_Blue wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 12:45 pmThat's a tough question Mike. But if Burgess can compete at this level so can Baggott.
On the other hand though this defence needs an experienced man.

Thanks Mach. Pretty much as I feared. Lots of us buying tickets just to get points. Its a shame but sadly inevitable. Lets see what happens....Mach_Polish_Blue wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 7:05 pmHello Wilf. According to the Reading sources there was over 2200 Town fans and it certainly looked like that in our end.
