Bit of a joke that there was an idea that the managers weren't taking things seriously. Judging by the 5 subs each......., both desperate
So they should take every game seriously. folk pay good money to watch every game,
Oh yes, agreed. But discussions in other areas suggest both teams won't. But both bosses brought on the heavyweights. Good to see.

We hear fans saying its only the league cup, but when there club gets near or in the final it all changes,
Both Cups are important to me,
Our club needed to win that match cause winning breeds the winning mentality. Ipswich manager has certainly got that into his team.

I know Wolves made 10 changes too, but they brought 2 players on from the bench who cost almost £80 million! This is some team we have and I take back and apologise for any concerns I had about GE in defence tonight!

Really happy for Taylor! My mind is changing on Ladapo, he never stopped running tonight. Also feeling we have more depth than I thought. We were immense defensively after conceding two goals. I like the belief and resilience KM has instilled in the players. After those two goals, I was thinking this is gonna be an as* kicking. So glad I got to watch the match! Yeah I know Marko…yawn eh? Lol!

Yes, the "you score 6, we'll score 7" mentality is quite insane at the moment. Must be a record for the amount of high scoring games with the odd goal win.

Silva cost 45m and a complete waste of money, can see him back out on loan again and sooner the better,

A premier league sides B team should be way too strong for a Championship sides B team, that is a fantastic result.

Haven’t seen the game tonight but from what I’m picking up it seems our second string CB’s did a very good job against PL opponents. For me that’s HUGE!! It’s going to push up competition now for CB places and those who might think they’re “ automatic” might need to watch themselves. All good for the team .

Well played Town . Bloody awesome

What a thoroughly enjoyable evening! I feared the worst at 0-2 but we kept playing our game and stuck at it. Wolves imploded and to be honest, I thought they looked lazy at the back. We certainly wanted it more and by half way through the second half, anyone tuning in from space would have thought we were the Prem side. Baggott excellent, Taylor bery good, Hutchinson brilliant and Hladky again made saves when we needed it. I wouldn't have swapped any of our players for the £45m bloke whoever he was. The number 11 was their best player by a mile and caused us trouble but they subbed him! I also thought 2000 Wolves fans were almost non existent after we got our first goal. I guess we have been there when the club seems on a big decline. I look at all of the foreign names on their team sheet and cannot help but think that is part of the problem. No Steve Bull or Derek Dougans any more - just non descript foreign whoevers who are not up for the fight but just want the money. Please don't let that happen to us... Sorry G&B but I don't envy you in that league one bit and I know you share that view. What fun it is to be a Town fan again. Enjoy everyone!

Went we down 0-2 from two badly marked goals, I was very frustrated but also in the back of mind I knew we could come back and lo and behold we did and then some. Nice finishes all around and that goal by Taylor is the best goal I have seen for a long time, an absolute rocket. Fans in great voice again and we move on.

Something special is truly happening with this club friends and I am really enjoying the ride!

Don’t get too excited about our defending Liz, the two early Wolves goals weren’t brilliant from town’s perspective although from the limited highlights I watched and the fact they scored no more it must have improved.

Watched the goals on Sky’s EFL show and can’t believe how good we are at coming back from behind these days and clearly it isn’t just the first team. The guy who was reviewing our game last night was very complimentary to Town and after suggesting Gary O’Neil might regret making 10 changes against high flying Ipswich he went onto say that the Championship side had done exactly the same which came across so positively towards us.

Three assists from the same player is rare which must raise Harness’s chances of getting some first team game time albeit from off the bench. I thought Freddie was lucky to have bagged his goal which the keeper must been very disappointed to have conceded, but credit to Freddie for where he was when he hit his shot. Hutchinson’s goal was very well taken and what more can you say about Paul Taylor’s magnificent strike which was as worthy a Match Winner as I’ve ever seen.

Town into the draw of this last 16 tonight. I can’t remember being so interested in the EFL Cup for years. This really is becoming fun again following Town, just like the old times.

The only downside was epitomised by one of my Man Utd fan golf mates who even before yesterday’s match said we could do with your bloke Kieran McKenna back at Old Trafford !

We started as I expected; poor defending and soon 2 down.
An excellent come back and as Blue Wilf said, we wanted it more. An entertaining game, I think we just about deserved it overall. To my mind the main deference was confidence; we don’t lose, we don’t expect to lose, so we fight back. Taylor’s winner and the first and last goals on Saturday were all similar insofar as if you seen playing with confidence, you don’t shot from there. If you are confident, you smash it. Great result.
