What would really help is if he went out on loan and grew a foot and a half.

cant see why he cannot be given his first team experience HERE !
He adds a new dimension of attacking flair up front that we ofetn miss. Yer I know he doesnt always make the right decision when making that final pass, or maybe he holds onto it for that little bit too long - buts thats what you get with young players - keep him here and bring him in for the odd, full game I say !

Well I assume that he'll get more full games at Hartlepool and can work his way up the ladder gently.
This looks like a good move assuming that he gets plenty of games.

what's the point in getting him on a 1 year contract and then loaning him out! i just don't see the sense! we have always had a good history of bringing young players through but we didn't do that by giving them out on loan!

From what I have seen of mini mac so far this season he has in my opinion been one of our better performers. Yes his type of player will have stinkers but they will also play havoc with defences and create chances possibly from nothing.
He does add a very different dimension to our play and I for one would like to see him more involved in the first team. That being said if he can get a good 6-8 games under his belt at Hartlepool who is to say that he can't come back here and really push for a first team place.
The guy can play up front or midfield, he has pace and bags of skill, plus he seems keen and willing to work hard. Lets hope it all works out okay.

I've not seen many matches but I must admit this seems a strange decision to me.
I thought he was on the verge of breaking into the first team on a regular basis and was certainly a very handy option to have on the bench.

I personally feel this is a ridiculous decsion.

Peters wasn't too hot for the reserves the other night. Wouldn't make a tackle a-la Jermaine Wright! Not convinced he's going to be a star as first suggested by the club

co-sign that, i cant believe he has been loaned out, and wot for, the only thing he is gonna gain at hartlepool is match experiance, and he could get that here if he got played

perhaps standing back from it for a bit ....I think this one month loan could be seen as Mini Macs "finishing school"...then he would rerturn to us just in time for the hectic Xmas period of games, when we will be needing him in the squad!
wadda yer think ?

If Royle's not gonna play him, then its better he goes out on loan. He's prob done this as we are getting most of our midfielders back and Royle prob reckons he wont b starting many games so send him out on loan. It could b good for us if he starts scoring a few goals!
