Wales and Ipswich Town keeper Lewis Price is confident he can continue his rapid progress.
The 21-year-old is hoping to make his international debut in the friendly against Cyprus on Wednesday and is determined to prove he is worthy of a place on that stage.
"It's been a big old build-up," he told Sky Sports News.
"Every time I get there, something always happens and it always just knocks me back.
"It's been a very frustrating time but it'll be a fantastic moment for me if it does come.
"It has been a very quick time, coming from the Under-21s, where I've played five games for Wales.
"There's a lot of other keepers who have been around and have played in a lot more competitions than I have.
"Hopefully, I can make that step up and play a full international.
"Obviously, international football is the next step from playing in The Premiership and I'm playing for Ipswich in The Championship but I reckon I can go in and do a good job.
"I'm hoping it can prepare me as I'm learning in every game at Ipswich.

Doing OK as well - beaten by a penalty just before halftime, but not a lot he could do about it.
One absolutely snorting save so far and a number of other good stops - do believe the Welsh are making Towns defence look rock solid at the moment
