New manager for Portsmouth?
anyone got any "rumours" they'd like to discuss.
I like to go on hard evidence which is that it will be warnock.
(The evidence being the bookies) odds have been jumping about but odds I think at the moment are:
11/10 for warnock
100/30 for redknapp
But I believe he may be waiting till after sheffield's game on saturday wereby coinsidence pompy play man u!

They asked him that on saturdays Football Focus and he didnt sound keen. Said it wasnt a stable club and just didnt seem bothered by it. Fair point though, theyve had something like 7 managers in 7 years. I wouldnt be surprised to see him at Rangers come January.Earl Blue wrote:Got a sneak feeling Burley may be up for the Job. Pompey chief to approach Warnock
Portsmouth sack Perrin
Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric has revealed that Neil Warnock is to be approached with regards to filling the vacant manager's position at the club.
The Sheffield United boss is the bookmakers' favourite to take the job following Alain Perrin's sacking.
"We are in the process of talking to Warnock's financial advisory people," Mandaric told BBC Radio Solent.
"We're still expecting a response from Sheffield United to give us a green light to talk directly to Warnock."
Perrin was dismissed last Thursday after a run of poor results saw the side slump into the Premiership relegation zone.
Warnock has overseen Sheffield United's impressive start to the season, but his contract ends in June and he is still waiting on a new one.
But the Blades boss has insisted he will still be in charge of United for Saturday's derby at Bramall Lane against Sheffield Wednesday.
Meanwhile, United assistant boss Stuart McCall expects the uncertainty surrounding Warnock's future to be resolved this week.
"We'll know come Wednesday or Thursday the outcome of everything, so we'll wait and see," said the former Scotland international.
"Personally I'm experienced enough to get on with it and we'll be preparing as usual for Saturday's derby against Sheffield Wednesday."

well it has been confirmed by manderic that he has held talks with sheffield today, obviously to avoid breaching any contract agreement. I expect him to accept the job offer tomorrow afternoon. (rough guess of 3.00vzr162 wrote:Rednapp!!
Stranger things have happened - and Frank Lampard Snr was a bit coy this morning when asked what he thought Harry might do if he was asked to return.

one thing to say mate, money - no other reason needed!Dubai Blue wrote:I'm not sure I would take it if I was Warnock. Next season he could be back in the Champ again whereas this season he is in good shape to go up with a pretty strong squad. One of the strongest we will have seen going up for a while.
