Joe's Post Match Quote

"It was a dodgy penalty decision and we saved that but playing most of the game with 10 men has cost us."
We have absolutely no chance of success whilst we continue to be managed(???) by this arrogant, narrow-minded, un-imaginative, short-sighted, un-inspiring clod.
De-Vos apart, I thought the players gave a good account of themselves last night - a real gutsy performance leading to a deserved equaliser 5 minutes from time. I thought then that we might even go on to win it as our tails were well and truly up. But oh no..........let's get really negative, take off a young player who has performed well since he's been on, been instrumental in getting the free kick which got us the goal, and not stopped running and tackling back. Yes, let's take him off and put on the speedy, no-nonsence, tough-tackling Currie..........the same Currie who has terrorised strike forces and midfielders alike throughout the division with his wonderful defensive qualities.
It wasn't being down to 10 men that cost us, Joe, it was yet another poor tactical decision. For pity's sake -
SOD OFF!!!!

Didn't Clarke get caught in that challenge ? Looked to me as if he wasn't too mobile and needed to be replaced to avoid it being 9 against 11.

Clarke, who will be in FA Youth Cup action at Leeds United tomorrow, was delighted to have played his part.
He said: “It was short and sweet but I totally loved making my debut, hopefully it will be the first of many games.
“The goal which Jimmy scored with a great free-kick came when their lad tripped me from behind so I played a small part.
“It was disappointing to come off but the manager said it was tactical and I understand.
Says it all really

Darren Currie to protect a lead

I honestly don't know whether to laugh or cry?

Lol Rossi, he only said that because he couldn't use the normal "We lost 2-1 but our keeper didn't have a save to make". Still baffles me why he comes out with that sh*te time after time.
SOD OFF ROYLE, YOU MAY HAVE HAD IT AT ONE POINT BUT YOU HAVEN'T ANY MORE. MY 12 YEAR OLD LAD HAS MORE TACTICAL AWARENESS THAN YOU.

Rossi,
I felt exactly the same when that Substitution was made. I also
felt we could have gone on a scored. and as you say the NINE men
on the pitch were putting up a reasonable game..
Apart from making an absolutely ridiculous substitution ain I believe
it will take a while for young Billy to get over it..

Joe was an embarassment, feel sorry for Clarke, he deserves a better manager.

Think there are a few who deserve a better manager - Pablo was one. Bowditch is another, yeah he has been pants this year, but when he was on form a couple of years back, royle hid him away in fear of losing him. Garven at times has been on the bench or subbed when he has been our best midfielder this season.
I bet Aidan Collins must seriously be questioning if he will ever get a shout at the back. For years we have been hearing about how great he will be, yet where is he?? I know you can't dwell on the past but if Burley were still here he would be pushin these boys on and hoping they made a name for themselves.

Can't help but agree with all that is being said here.
We played better with 10 men (well 9 and De Vos!!) than we have with 11 for a while.
Joe Royle has definately lost the plot. I have always been one of the 'stop knocking Joe ' brigade but that substitution really did it for me. Currie is crap, has alway been crap and will always be crap in my mind. Billy Clarke was really doing well. We should have won that game.

I wont write what I said when joe pulled his master stroke(luckily for me I was´nt at the ground)but it was a MASSIVE own goal by joe.....It showed how little faith he has in the side after a brilliant fight back with ten men for nigh-on one and a half hours

I was there unfortunately, was frozen while watching the game and it was a bloody long journey home.
