We Are In A Relegation Battle Now

Post by Shed on tour » Tue Nov 29, 2005 4:39 am

Hope this time the management and board don't make the same mistakes that were made the year we got relegated from the Prem in thinking that everything will come right in the end.
The facts are we are 5 points above the drop zone and the way things are going at this moment in time (not just the way we are playing but also regarding injuries and refereeing decisions) we could very well be in the bottom 3 or 4 places by the turn of the new year.
The players and management need to realise that the fight to stay in this division is now on and every game is crucial.

Well Shed 2 things stick clear in my mind which do not help.

1). Sheepshanks stating he is not going to leave a sinking ship.

2). Joe Royle honestly believeing we are good enough to reach
the play-offs.

Of course you are right as usual..

So this is where the miserable old gits hang out!

Guess I'd better join you, no leadership, no money, no guts, no fight, no defence, and far too few goals scored - we are in trouble here :(

Maybe its time for a managerial change ? Joes done all he can with the players available, but i still think that alot of the players would play a hell of a lot better with a good kick up the as*, which it seems joe cant give them. weve got alot of young talent at the club and we all know from winning the cup last year that the lads can do it. even take a look at the reserve team there playing better than our 1st team.
