Owen Garvan will return to action on Wednesday night when Town take on Leeds at Elland Road in the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup.
The 17-year-old midfielder has been out of first-team action since sustaining ankle ligament damage in the draw with Coventry in October.
Owen - ankle problem
"The ankle feels okay now but the proof will come when I get out on the pitch," Owen told the Club website.
"If I come through the game okay then hopefully I will be in with a chance of being involved against Wolves on Saturday."
Also in the Town squad for the Youth Cup-tie are Billy Clarke, who made his senior debut in the defeat at Cardiff on Monday, and Danny Haynes, who made his first appearance in Championship football in Blues' 2-0 win at Leeds in September.

At least the youth team would give us value for money. A team of talented players, playing good football with committment.
Good luck boys - you are the only shining beacon at this club at the moment!
