Redknapp attacks Lowe

Post by Diddy Dubz » Wed Dec 14, 2005 10:03 am

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has launched a thinly-veiled attack on his former chairman Rupert Lowe.

Redknapp jumped at the opportunity to defect back to South Coast rivals Pompey after it became clear that Milan Mandaric was prepared to bury the hatchet.

The pair's spat at the turn of 2005 saw Redknapp walk away from Fratton Park but he has since revealed his regret at that hasty decision.

And Redknapp revealed that working under the authoritarian Lowe made him realise what he was missing.

"When I went back to Portsmouth it felt like I had never been away," said Redknapp.

"It's still the same people and they call stay by their first names and not surnames.

"They're not addressed as 'Redknapp' - the chairman calls everyone by their first names, Milan treats us as equals

"It's nice to be treated like that by everybody, so it's good."
