But surely we already have Alan Ferguson, the groundsman, to do the lines...Rach wrote:Mel Henderson in the Evening Star says we are aiming to get him on loan?!....

i think that Mel has got his head in the clouds, robbie fowler is trying to get into the 1st team at man city where hes on about £40.000 a week, y the hell would he join us, joining town on loan would rein his career, if he goes on loan anywhere it will be somewhere like pompey, fulham or sunderland

With the greatest respect to Mel (bollards) last week we had an unknown foreigner with a half decent record on a 3 day trial - today we are talking about signing Robbie Fowler!!!
Personally I feel it would be an awesome signing - he would set this division alight. However it just ain't gonna happen - if he ever got motivated he could still do a heck of a job in the premiership!!

If Fowler comes here on loan il streak across Carrow road wearing only a Ipswich hat and scarfsquiz18 wrote:Isnt Man City in one of those positiions where if fowler plays one more game they will owe his previous club money ? That would mean pearce would have to say he is in the future pplans when really they dont want to pay the apearance bonus and will ship him out on loan.

I doubt he will come here, i just wouldnt be surprised to see him go out on loan if this is the case.

Its all actually TRUE
christ almightyTown are reported to have had loan bid for Robbie Fowler turned down prior to the recent emergency loan deadline. The Blues are also said to be ready to renew their attempt to sign the former England striker when the transfer window opens in January.
Fowler is currently out of favour at Eastlands with Darius Vassell and Andy Cole both doing well after being recruited by manager Stuart Pearce in the summer. Fowler's only senior appearance came in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United in September.
Joe Royle's former club would have to continue paying Fowler's wages if the ex-Liverpool frontman was willing to move to the cash-strapped Blues and City were happy to allow him to leave.

It wont happen, Remeber when we "Nearly" signed Kanu on loan from Arsenal the season we went down. Its all bullshit. Joe Royle has his head in the clouds if he thinks Fowler is gunna move down south to a struggling team. Potatoe headed tw*t!Himple_ITFC wrote:ya hat and scarf are hanging by the door Luke
