Royle still a striker light

Post by Dazza » Sun Jan 22, 2006 11:30 am

Ipswich boss Joe Royle admitted he is in the market for an on-loan forward to partner new-boy Alan Lee.

Lee struck twice to sink Southampton with his first goals for Ipswich following his move from Cardiff.

Town's attack has been decimated by injuries to Nicky Forster, Sam Parkin and Adam Proudlock.

"Sam Parkin is still our top scorer and he's been out for two months," said Royle. "You never know what will happen, we're still talking to people."
