Gavin Williams looks likely to be sidelined for another two weeks as he recovers from a badly gashed shin and ankle picked up in the win at Norwich.
The Welsh international has also been struggling with a knee problem lately but it's the knock he took at Carrow Road that has seen him ruled out of Saturday's game against Burnley and almost certainly the visits to Crewe and Wolves next week.
"Gavin will probably be out for two weeks," Town boss Joe Royle told the Club website.
"His knee has improved a lot and wouldn't keep him out of action but his shin and ankle are in a tatty state to say the least.
"It was a poor challenge and he has nasty gashes on his shin and his ankle is swollen as well so he's going to be out for a little while."
Gavin absence extended
