Hi boys and Girls
I know its still a few weeks away but i thought I´d take the oppourtunity to pit the annual top 10 prediction up. Listed below are the bookies favourites and also rans. As i say/write every year its going to be an exciting season ahead with IMHO any one of 10-11 teams with a real chance of being championship winners.
I love the championship as unlike the Prem were it is a two to three horse race at best, in the championship it really is anyones race. Whom would have predicted Leicester as champs and Burnley as nearly champs.
With Mick pledging his and Terrys future its looking rosey and I dont doubt for oe bit Mick is the man to take us forward. We have a good balance of players and most have been here a number of years so not too much beddding in required.
Cardiff 7/1Wolves 16/1Sheff Wed 40/1
Derby 15/2Bolton 16/1Brentford 40/1
Wigan Athletic 8/1Reading 16/1Charlton 40/1
Fulham 9/1Middlesbrough 18/1Birmingham 40/1
Norwich 9/1Ipswich 18/1Rotherham 50/1
Nottm Forest 14/1Brighton 18/1Millwall 66/1
Watford 14/1Leeds 20/1Huddersfield 66/1
Blackburn 16/1Bournemouth 20/1Blackpool 100/1
From the above list Boro look like good odds and expect them to suprise a few ,Fulham Cardiff and the shyte will come down with serious money , the teams coming up will be comfortable in midtable leaving new names fighting for survival i feel. Its alaways fun to look back at comments and alike and see just who knows that creul mistress the championship the best.
Its only for fun and bragging rights amongst us so have a guess.........if your feeling brave try the right order too
I had i think 7-8 of the top ten last season as did others so maybe its not as hard as one would think.
Anyways heres my way off prediction
1, Fulham purely because of stupid money they have
2, Cardiff City been there done it before and the money
3, Wigan to go closer than last season still a good squad
4, Brighton HA getting better year after year good ground and fans
5, Scum they have held on to their "stars" and with stupid money to spend
6, Wolves really think if they start well they could fly
7, Derby C falling a little behind after coing so close
8, Brentford Heres my suprise package i think they will do well
9, Us we are imho three-four players short of top three
10, Notts F they could be world beaters or religation fodder unpredictable
anyway thats my twopenneth ,have a guess and a laugh and maybe a few words like I´ve done as to why you think the way you have. Good luck and as LnP says "enjoy the season"

9th, PBB? For a few seasons now I've had ITFC down for mid table. Last season, chose 10th . But I think maybe 7th with a sneaky sniff at the play offs. I think Mick knows that he needs to have a very good season. I'd say 9th or lower is not a good season, for Micks standards after being in charge a while.

I still fancy Boro to suprise a few this season and maybe push for an automatic spot

I know i did´nt put them in my top ten prediction but they really are a team that could be world beaters or religation fodder. Their webside is really buzzing (as most are as the season draws near).
Brentford have got some good finacial backing and their owner has bought into one of Denmarks leading sides,so they could set up a flow of top danish talent to the bees.
Would really like to see us build connections around europe with strong ties and oppourtunites for player exchanges and development to benefit both clubs.
In responce Marko i feel we are still a small handful of players away from making a serious push for the play-offs just yet. Confident with Mick and terry pledging their futures its just we will come to miss a Williams like player of real quaility and vision. He has´nt imho been replaced as of yet.
My very good Wigan supporting mate thinks the scum will struggle this season but i fear they will be one of the teams to beat.

nobody has mentioned Bounemouth? I think they are dark horses for a play off place at least.
IMO Fulham will be play offs at best, same for Cardiff, those coming down usually suffer mentally and struggle. Norwich are the strongest of those 3 if you ask me, Fulham have lost key players.
Derby will be very strong, Forrest possibly play off's too.
I think we will be top 10 hopefully.

Good call Shaba try and predict your top ten, its usually a good laugh as the season pans out.

Bournemouth would have been dark horses had they held on to Lewis Grabban who scored 35 league goals for them over the past two seasons, but having sold him to Norwich I think they'll find next season much tougher and will do well to make the top half of the table unless they replace him with another goal scoring machine.

Showing off Marko with the religated teams as well......another good call with your list. I cant see all of the religated Premier league teams all being in the play offd theres always a suprise horse in there. And one of the religated teas struggles to adjust, just hope its the yellow peril

marko you have more confidence in Cardiff than I do. Up front we have plenty of good players but at the back we are sh*te. We have lost Caulker, loos as if Hudson may go and Turner is suspect having been troubled with injury. We do not have sufficient back players and seem to be having trouble signing replacements. We could struggle in the early stages but I am looking forward to a better season than last.

Put Bournemouth up there because of their manager more so than their squad. They had quite a strong finish last season, so if they build on that, can see them having a good one. They will probably get relegated now and you will re post this just to show all on here how little I know about football.
