I Cant see Mick letting Tyrone go yet, and if we did get £10 million that will just go towards our £80 million debt, so Mick will want to hold onto him and other top players we have in the squad, ready for the big push to the promised land, that's more important to the club, if we can get promotion we can practically wipe the debt off and start again, be like the Arsenal debt free .

It will not be MM's decision, though. He can say he doesn't want to lose the player, but ultimately it's not his decision to make, it's the owner. £10m is a hell of a lot of money for a 21 year old who cost only £10000 - this will really test the resolve of ME.

I'd much prefer to see us keep the player but £10m would be huge and very difficult to turn down. Selling players for this sort of fee is every Championship Clubs dream as its transfers like this that keep non Premier League clubs solvent. Maybe we could sell with a season long "loan back" built in. As with Cresswell we know that sometime soon were likely to lose him, all we need to do is make sure we maximise the fee and do well out of it.

Highy unlikely there will be much foundation to this story.

Although none of us want to see us lose our best young prospects, I have confidence that if and when they leave the club it will no longer be on the cheap.

No doubt if our improvement continues then more and more of our players will get noticed and the speculation regarding their future at the club will grow. I much rather this be the situation than how it was not so long ago, when we had players coming to the club at the end of their careers looking for one last fat pay day.

PL (and other, including foreign) scouts are continuously on the look out for young, talented, players with some lower league experience, who can be developed further, and be acquired at comparatively modest costs. TM fits that template exactly - and in some respects, is how MM got him from non-league! A scout is spotted at a club by a journalist and, bingo, there's a headline - nothing so trifling as the truth will necessarily get in the way of Mirror journos

Is it inevitable, however, that at some stage he will move onwards and upwards, a la Cressie? Almost certainly. Is it also true that every player has a price. Can the club therefore get the best possible deal for all parties, including the player? What would be the figure that could not be refused; can a loan back arrangement be agreed, should a January deal be done?

Lot's of questions and strategy for the club to consider which, if the truth be known, have/are probably being looked at under 'what if' scenarios - possibly same for Didsy. However, and critically, all have to be balanced against affecting adversely our chances of playing PL soccer next season. Let's hope ME gets the answers right if the questions have to addressed!

Lets see what happens in Jan window, my hope is ME & MM keep what we've got to push on and get promoted, maybe add a couple of extra players in Jan window, that way at least we get a decent PL pay out of over £90 million, and hopefully we can then become an established sort of mid table sides similar to Southampton & Stoke, its going to be tough getting up with a host of clubs with the same ambition as Mick, but if we can get Auto with either Derby, Middlesbrough, or Watford, who I think are the toughest in the top half at the moment, or via the playoffs lottery if we have to go that route.

Source might be dodgy but I think there will be more pressure to sell Mings in Jan.

However I think it's unlikely that the club will change it's approach from that shown in the Summer over McGoldrick. Some may say that it's ME that decides and not MM but I would not be surprised if ME trusts MM's football 'world view' and our position in the table demands that ME supports this view. I'm guessing that this view would be something like 'every player has it's price but we're building a cracking little team here so let's make sure that any potential buyers have to pay through the nose.'

I think Marcus would take 5-million for Mings...I just hope he waits until the end of the season at least. I know it's part and parcel of football, but it really annoys me when clubs like Arsenal start sniffing around for talent in the lower leagues. I mean, don't they have enough money to develop their own players?! I think it's a disgrace! No wonder England has struggled for so long. It's not due to too many foreign players in the Prem: it's due to the big clubs not developing English players. That's what the FA should be regulating, instead of this FFP farce!

I dont think ME would accept anywhere near 5 Million for Mings, his worth is rocketing by the week and he knows it. The more interest in him the bigger the fee. I dont see any risk of losing him this coming January, none at all, it wont happen, especially given where we are in the league at the moment, it would be tantamount to self destruction, with the chance of us going up we hold all the aces right now for once and should we achieve the "P" word he may not be moving anywhere anytime soon.

I also dont think ME would make the final decision to see, I feel he totally trusts MM's judgement and would let him have the final word on it, just as he did when Palace came calling.

Emphasis on that part in bold......., certainly hope that is true. Hate all these millionaire owners who think they know football. Thankfully, Mevans ain't one of them.
