First I have heard or seen on this story, a decent enough player but for me it is a striker as back up we really need to bring in not another wide man.

Quite agree. But doubt we'll get a decent calibre striker to join, only to sit on tye bench behind McG n Murph. Tricky one!

BUT; you need to plan for next seasons assault on the premiership now. Jarvis would be the start. he's a quality player and Mick thinks a lot of him. and with Hunt OR Hunt :? on the other wing, your new striker should be the one and only Fletch, I think I'll order MY season ticket now

Lol, well you can hang yer hat on MM already having plans in place (targets) for the "what if we do get promoted..... PL shopping list".... or replacements for those better players that may leave, should we fail to get promoted, ie the much maligned plan B.

I don't think your need a plan B hallamblue, Your biggest problem will be getting away tickets in the premier. and listening to all the Johnny come lately's who will condemn Mick on any bad results and take up the seats of the real Town fans.

What I noticed with Mick at Wolves was he stuck to the kids that got us promoted, he then kept us there for 2 seasons adding just fringe players, the problems started in the 3rd season when he started signing players to move up and secure there place, he signed the right players but it dis-lodged the young uns. roger Johnson at the time looked a great class player and made him captain, I think that changed the whole atmosphere at the club.

Thats always the case though I think . It happend here under Burley and also up the A140 : You'd have thought they'd have learned from our mistakes wouldnt you !

There comes a point where you have to try for better quality to push on...this invariably upsets the close knit squad that got you promoted in the firts place. Tricky one.

I think the classic was Tony Pullis at Little Stoke City, he took them high up in the prem and kept them there for years, then a couple of blips and he's gone, reason giving was he had taken them as far as he could, well I'd say he took that club higher than there rights and should have built a statue of him not sack him.

I think your chairman is a proper football person who will know how far clubs like ours can go.
