Thought the Town fans created a good atmosphere.
Amazing how 2,500 supporters can create more noise than 26,000+ Town fans at Portman Road last Wednesday night.

Its always been the same Shed. 13,000 fans at PR ( the die hards) always make more noise than 26k

I thought the noise on Wednesday was very quite for the size of the crowd, but then again I do live in Chester which is 250 miles away!!

It's been the same now for quite a few years which is probably one of the reasons I enjoy going to away games more than coming to Portman Road.
I'd guess the atmosphere has gone downhill in line with the decline in the standard of football, maybe as the football improves so will the atmosphere as it's difficult to get excited when the quality of football is dire.
Perhaps we need to recall some of the old anthems of the past and get the place rocking again.

I'm not surprised.
Yesterday there was something to shout about.
Wednesday's predominant background noise was probably snoring. Bored me to tears watching on tv. Only surprise was I watched it all.

The common denominator being the TV cameras.
I'll be selfish and say "FKN NO!" to the Boro game on TV.

the £10 tickets may have caused an atmospheric vacuum on wednesday, people moving seats, lots of new fans etc. the saints fans said the same about their fans in the first leg.
i'm sure if we'd have scored early things would have been different.
i watched newcastle v saints yesterday and the atmosphere was quite poor also - to be honest, the s'ton style is a bit boring, very little excitement in the games i watched.
